Team Andrax Welcomes Karen as Mate #101

Karen, welcome aboard my friend. We are so excited you have decided to join us and allow us to join you in this fight. I think you have seen today, you have folks on this team from around the world pulling for you, praying for you, and are there for support when you need it.

Likewise, I believe strongly in the comments your sister left on the starfish post about you, which is to say, I have a feeling your energy, your determination, your spirit to fight this disease with everything you've got is going to do as much to energize our team and make us better, as we can give back to you in love and support.

Oh, and your comment on your blog today is just priceless,

"and a starfish tattoo will be in order after all the surgeries are completed! Much love to all."

That is wonderful my dear friend. When we get to that point, I want a picture of that tattoo. Team Andrax just might need a backup mascot :)

You bet it was! I read it.

Karen, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

When I saw your comments at your blog ... I was ... so moved.

You are fighting the "great fight", and I will be checking for more updates.

You will win this fight. We are with you in Spirit. And we are with you in this battle.

Pinky, thanks for stopping by. Karen, pinky is a long time dedicated fighter against this disease and someone very dear to Team Andrax. A few months ago, she came and "guest crunched" with us, so we always see her as part of our team.

Wonderful to see the numbers increasing!
Reading the introductory notes about new members Michelle and Karen make me feel extraordinary privileged to be part of this team.

Visitors are feeling obliged to act upon (i.e. comment) on my most recent post - wonder why they didn't feel the same about the one before that :-(

Autumn, if you can figure out the answer to that question, I'm all ears. Patience my dear friend. Our team is growning and day by day, work unit returned by work unit, we are making a difference.

Just an hour ago we picked up mate #102. I'm waiting for him to send me a picture before I post his welcome.

Out of more than 42,500 teams doing what we are doing, our team is ranked in the top 500 and we just started our team in January of 2005. And we are growing--woohoo.

I really like the last dozen or so folks we have added to our team. I like their wisdom and maturity and half of them are cancer survivors. We are moving, and that movement is forward and I am so glad Autumn you are a part of our team along with Karen, Michelle, Catherine, Christa and Marilyn.

And now we have a Max--his welcome coming soon. :)

Welcome Karen :) I almost wrote that line yesterday when I made a comment on the other post about Karen, but didn't want to take anything for granted.

These guys are great, so you've ended up at the right place for sure :)

Karen, that is incredible. I am so happy you have such a great support system with your own family.

It never occured to me the starfish would be such a symbol. I'm at a loss for words to say how touched I am Karen. :)

Oh, and now I'm gonna need photos of all four of you with your tattoos, so just keep that in mind when you guys decide exactly where these tattoos are going to go--lol ;)

J_Snow, great to see you stop by and visit. Thanks for the kind words and hope you'll visit often.

Karen, J has earned more than 500,000 points crunching molecules and has been involved in this fight for several years--long before there was a Team Andrax. We are lucky to have him onboard.

OK-again the big 'L' is firmly attached to my forehead...Read everything so let me 'splain it...

About my tat-Last Feb wife and I were in the Bahamas. She bought me a cheap ring. Its silver with wave crests along the top and bottom of a black band. So picture wave crests on the top and mirror image on the bottom around the entire ring. Very Tribal. Anyway-I've been wanting to get a tat for a long time-so she gets me this ring and I think wow-cool... Waves... then I think-Hmm... Sea Crests....

My sister who died from Melanoma back in 1993-her last name was Seacrest...

So there it was-plain as day what my tat was going to be off. A beautiful gesture from my wife that had all sorts of hidden relevance...

Just wanted to share that!

:)

And i'll be back T. I'm just like that bad penny!

Oh yes, Karen, if you check back here, I just wanted to know that I have been following your blog about the Medical Updates.

I am unable to post there, yet I wanted you to know that I am thinking of you. Still sending good karma and vibes your way.
