Fly Me to the Moon

As the team stats come fully up-to-date, Team Andrax has moved inside of the top 400 teams in the world, and that's out of more than 42, 754 teams. As you might expect, such news makes me want to sing, and who better than Frank to launch us on our way to top 250 status. Enjoy!

Fly Me to the Moon

Fly me to the moon
Let me sing among those stars
Let me see what spring is like
On Jupiter and Mars

In other words, hold my hand
In other words, baby kiss me

Fill my heart with song
Let me sing for ever more
You are all I long for
All I worship and adore

In other words, please be true
In other words, I love you

You have the cool clear eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth,
Yet there's that upturned chin and the grin of impetuous youth,
I believe in you, I believe in you.
I hear the sound of good solid judgment whenever you talk,
Yet there's that bold, brave, spring of the tiger that quickens your walk,
I believe in you, I believe in you.
And when my faith in my fellow man all but falls apart,
I've but to feel your hand grasping mine, and I take heart,
I take heart to see the cool clear eyes of a seeker of wisdom and truth,
Yet there's that slam, bang, tang, reminiscent of gin and Vermouth,
Now I believe in you, I believe in you.
(musical interlude)
I believe in you, I believe in you, I believe, I believe in you.
~Frank Sinatra~

Bless you dearie - I have been trying to think of that one particular line "Let me see what spring is like" since you mentioned the song the other day! I've been singing "da da da da da da da on Jupiter and Mars" :-)
You've saved me from da da, I'm eternally grateful!

Great news for Andrax!!!

Leigh, you're welcome. I was just looking at the picture on your site of the guy riding his bike. That road looks awesome. Nice to meet a female cyclist. Please come back and visit again :-)

Wow that is pretty damn amazing. Sorry has to be said in English I do not know French - darn - is there a post I can go to to read the history, the start of Team Andrax?

Michelle, JC wrote a post on another board not long ago that gave an overview of Team Andrax history. I'll find it and post it in these comments. Give me a few minutes to track it down.

Michelle, here is JC's post on Team Andrax:

"The story of Team Andrax is rather compelling. Voodoo-envy (a Voodoo PC owner), started a thread about this "Distributive Computing" project at the Grid at Andrax.net

It was January 11th of this year. Five of us joined that same day. Q, (wgbjr) had officially started the Team. I was lucky to start our first Team thread here. That was easy. oVo started his "Night shift" here, recruiting as well.

We got other volunteers to join us (from Voodoo PC and from Andrax.net). We were doing some serious crunching. Our Master Crunchers (just look at the Team list) were doing just that. Lots of crunching. Stellar crunching.

Fate can be a great thing. Trée joined the Voodoo PC "Mutthaboard Community" around March of this year and saw our thread for volunteers for this epic fight and joined.

Members of this Team joined because of Family Members or Friends or other people they knew who had perished or had suffered from Cancer.

Many joined because they knew it was a most worthy cause.

Then we got help from vaio and other Members from Team GB, who "smapped" in our threads. Then came the "Base Campers".

Trée brought us Nate, a Team Mate whose wife has Cancer. Trée's blog has now brought us Team Mates who also have Cancer or are Cancer survivors, just recently.

This Team has many reasons to crunch, on a personal level. I am proud to be a Member of this Team. So are *all* of of Team Mates.

If you seek inspiration, just take a gander at Trée's blog. You will see many inspiring posts from Team Mates who are/have battled this insidious disease.

And yes, great inspirational posts by Trée.

I know that there is no "I" in "Team". If you want to see a list of *great* volunteers crunching away, again, just look at our list of Team Mates.

They are simply magnificent."
