Closure

I need closure
just a word
saying we're done

No need to be kind
the cut
was made long ago

But I need to heal
to feel the sun
of integrity

Tell me the night
is over
the mare is gone

Tell me I am free
to leave
free to get on

with the life
known
once upon
to me

Indeed we all do...otherwise the 'little episode' will come to aunt us for the rest of our life demanding a full circle!

I love the last stanza Tree!

Thank you Mona. You and your family are still in my thoughts and prayers.

Magnificent image!
A crown atop eminence. Absolute, integral and replete, the single perfect floret, clean lines (immaculate), pure, nothing more, nothing less, unequivocal and just.
In to out, nothing added, nothing taken away, so it seems, simple, honest, complete, the more touching for it. Only Gump could have encompassed, covered, this more simply when he said you got to put the past behind you before you can move on. Poignant, truthful, beautiful.

I choose to feel the sun of integrity. Touching, eloquent poem.
