A Breathing

I walked outside last night
and sat with the ocean
a storm coming
winds whipping
and the surf
pounding
just pounding
the
submissive
shore

relentless

relentless
in slap

inhale
gasp
roll
slap
the sound
almost
human
sharp
distinct
a breathing

in
and
out

spume riding
waves
rolling
in the dark
racing up the shore
iridescent alabaster
in
pearly moonlight

and
in that moment

alone

lost in the thoughts
of
heart and loin
of
dream and wish
of
lust and longing

I couldn't help
but think

of
you

and
I wondered

if

you missed me

as

much as

I

was missing

you

Breathless reading, with every pounding, with every relentless, it steals the breath, agonizing and glorious all at once. One can only hope that such pure emotion is requited. Absolutely marvellous, my heart is racing though this far from the first time that I have read this post.
