plot/lyrics

I don't read books for plot and I rarely ever listen to music for the lyrics. Yet, I enjoy both, books and music, as much as food and water, and if you were to ask me to explain the plot/lyrics issue, I couldn't. Sometimes you just have to stop looking for explanations and just breathe in the meadows and turn your face to the sun.

Now, if you want to stand with me in the sun, and breathe deep of the meadows, I'll hold your hand. But I have to warn you, if you lace your fingers in mine, I'm not ever letting go. Just saying. :-)

You act as though it would be a terrible thing not to let go. :)

Oh, I'm thinking of letting go. You just say when. :-D

Reading this I thought of these lines from Wordsworth
When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils
Beside the lake, beneath the trees
Fluttering and dancing in the breeze
, not sure I could tell you why other than it was the standing, the stillness, beneath the sun, and the 'togetherness', oneness, sun to flower to face to soul to another. Sometimes you just have to stop looking for explanations and just breathe in the meadows and turn your face to the sun. seems like the life philosophy that would serve each of us equally. Sound, soft, lovely. Joining my hand, anticipating a circle. :-)

I believe the natural state of existence is love and joy. I also believe that if we do not have love and joy in our lives, it is this resistance to the natural flow of existence that causes the pain, much like trying to hold onto the dock while the current is pulling you out to sea. I've been wrong before and may very well be wrong now, but one has to have some belief upon which to stand, some point of reference by which all other points are measured and adjusted--and this is mine.

As always, your comments are cherished. Love the Wordsworth quote. I'd like to be in that field right now. :-)

In order words, love is normal and pain is abnormal; love is the natural state of things and pain is the unnatural state. Or something along those lines.

Papa might put it this way: Love is reality and reality is love and when one is not in the flow of Love then one is not living in reality. Somehow, I think he would have said it with a little more elegance. ;-)

There are many songs I've loved and listened to countless times over the years... books I've read, and so immersed in the moment never once considered paying attention to anything else than just getting into the moment. I figure some other part of my brain is picking up on the specifics so it's all good!

Your philosophy on love, on life, Poppet, are what drew me to your page long before your posts had numbers. I remember the first time that I heard you refer to fear as a teacher. Love, resistence...your open heart, the loving, seeking soul, you have always represented to me a way of being to aspire to. Strength, heart, persistence.

I can only agree with your thoughts on being in the flow, of love, or with the natural order, nature, being outside of it is not a pleasant place to be, yet sadly some of us spend years, even lifetimes there. Likely the phrase 'life passing by' originated from such an observation.

Love is reality and reality is love and when one is not in the flow of Love then one is not living in reality. Am going to engrave this within my heart so that I might never erect any walls around it.
In other words, plenty elegant enuf! :-D
