This and That

Where does this end and that begin. There are moments and there is flow. Where is now and where is past and where is future. I don't know. I see, I label, I put in neat little boxes. This here, that there. I'm happy. There is order, in my mind. Yet, the nagging feeling persists. Where exactly does the Mississippi river become the Gulf of Mexico. Can you show me. Exactly where.

Each step of the staircase is a moment, yet each moment only exist in relation to the one before. When does that moment become this moment. Can you show me. Exactly. Yet, there is this, and there is that. I take one step, but yet one step implies one before it and one before that and so on. Where does the on begin or where does my "on" begin. For that matter where does it stop. Can you show me.

I don't know so don't ask me. I'm here but just a minute ago I was there. There is change and there is flow and everything else is standing in the river against the current. I'm getting weak resisting the flow. I think I'll just dissolve into now. :-)

All I'm gonna say is blame Holly for this.

Trée said...

Or blame her for that.

Trée said...

Either way, I don't know, so don't ask me.

Trée said...

Maybe Lisa knows. Ask her.

Anonymous said...

LOL, already told you, Holly gets hugs for these not blame :0)

I'm getting weak resisting the flow. I think I'll just dissolve into now. :-)

you never cease to amaze and I am running out of adjectives to describe your talent, I didn't think they could get much better, but now that you are adding more of your personal thoughts to them, they are :0)

Trée said...

Like I said, don't blame me. That little trouble maker from Jax is gonna pay the tab on this one, if she shows that is.

:-)

Are you still feeling under the weather dear?

Anonymous said...

I am feeling closer to just this side of human, thank you LOL

how are you?

** I'm getting weak resisting the flow.

dissolving into 'now' is the only truth I know right 'now' :)

We seem to have moments (at least I do) of absolute release, absolute clarity and they are just stunning!!! - and the rest of the time, we seem to insist on struggling against what cannot be changed.

Intensely beautiful fractal!
Really loving these compositions!!

Hiya Keshi. I love having your beautiful flowers in my comments and the wisdom of your words is just icing on the cake. Hugs and kisses my dear sweet friend.

Trée said...

I have moments of release too--quite blissful I might add--lol.

PS Did your wish come true?

Anonymous said...

Not yet :-)

Have your own been granted?

Release is a good thing, is it not? ;-)

Trée said...

Not yet. My wish is to see your's granted and fulfilled. We will reach release together in this joint venture so don't let me down--lol.

Yes, dear, release is a very good thing. :-)

That's not how it works though, your wishes cannot only be watching other people have theirs granted, at least one has to be about something you hardly dare wish for, but still do.
:-)

Trée said...

Please pass the "wishes manual" I seem to have misplaced mine since I don't remember reading that stipulation.

Anonymous said...

night you 2 :0)

Autumn, have a great morning

Trée, have a good rest of the night

and by the way its under the heading, the proper way of wishing LOL Autumn is right, I've seen it :0)

Trée said...

Oh my, two on one. Okay, I'm game. lol

Sweet dreams my little dolphin girl. :-)

Anonymous said...

I think I know, what happened - you simply passed over that bit, thinking it wasn't relevant. Either that, or all your wishes have been granted
- that makes sense :-)
Nighty night, Tracey, feel better, x

Trée said...

I do tend to skim over manuals. I'm much more a hands on kinda guy. Just give me the parts and let my hands do the rest.

Thanks for educating me. I'll have to come up with some wishes now. Warm danish with a view would be a nice start. :-)

Anonymous said...

That's an easy one to have granted, even I can do that for you, just say the word ;-)

Anonymous said...

PS Thanks for the morning smiles :-) Sleep tight, x

Trée said...

Thanks Sunshine. Time for me to turn in. Have a great day sweetie.

Anonymous said...

Definitely intend to!

There is no past or future; only the 'now'. We just cannot perceive it as such. Moments don't exist separately; they just exist. They flow together, intermingled, always available to access. It is humankind that needs to organize moments into separate things; to compartmentalize them into time references. The vortex holds all in place; within itself, always in motion. There is no standing. There is no resisting. There is only motion in the 'now'.

Hi Tree.
Where does the river end and the gulf start? You cannot push the river the river pushes itself.

I looked with joy at the perfection in the image and the writing. I wouldn't change the tiniest thing. It's so wonderful just as it is.
smiles,
Liz

I'm glad I read that this morning. I'll just flow through my day now. No since getting caught up so much on the details :-) Thanks.

Anonymous said...

LOL...you lost be somewhere between Mississippi and the Gulf I'm afraid. Geez...I hope this doesn't stick in your mind too often...lol

"I'm getting weak resisting the flow. I think I'll just dissolve into now"

We were the now all along. There is no flow to resist.

"When does that moment become this moment?"
It is always clear in hindsight.

PS - I have the wish manual. It is entirely blank (because there are no rules) save one word. "Hope". Yessir, that's all it says. Oh, wait - there's some small print in the back about Karma. Fair enough.

Trée said...

Stargazer, beautifully said. :-)

Always glad to see you stop by and share.

Trée said...

George, I'm breaking out the champagne and my Dr Seuss collection to celebrate your first post and what a great first comment. I think you could see me all along but were just "saving up." lol

Thanks for making me smile this morning. There is magic is smiles. Just ask Liz. :-)

Trée said...

Liz, I've read your comment about ten times now. :-)

I think I'll read it another ten before the day is out. How can you be so good at knowing just what to say to lift a soul and make it shine? Did you study under some mysterious master or did the gods simply decide to bless you with this gift at birth? :-)

Always good to see you visit my dear sweet friend. I should keep a journal of our interactions. :-)

Look, you made me smile four times in one comment. I think that must be a record. :-)

Trée said...

Holly, I've got my barge watching glasses on. Make sure you wave to the turtle when you pass by. I'm sitting on the leeve today. I feel the need to inspect it's integrity. :-)

Trée said...

Aggie, care to come over here and test your no flow theory? I think I might be able to change your mind. If not, at least put you half out of your mind. LMAO

Trée said...

Anon, today mind like waxpaper, tomorrow, like flypaper. Either way, I'm just happy there's paper. :-)

I love this one. It is sooo difficult to make perfect squares with Apophysis and you've made a bunch of them - to infinity! Brilliant.

Trée said...

Thanks Jack. Just keeping playing with the program. It's like a big toy box and every little thing opens a new insight into how the program works. You've been doing a great job yourself with your fractals.

HI I came back today to get another fix and what did I find. The love I had last night was still here in the morning. I guess this was no one-night stand.

smiles,
Liz

Liz, I believe in long-term relationships and I believe we should treat them like a sacred garden by watering them daily and plucking weeds as they arise. You are one of the most beautiful flowers in my garden by the way. :-)

Anonymous said...

:-) Morning!

Anonymous said...

Great post.

The moment is not one of those little boxes. Those are pictures of the moment, just like past and future. There is no little box for this moment, for reality. It is not a picture, it is real.

Wow tree, these are getting better and better!

I decided to use another one of yours this morning for a post on my site. It's the one entitled Wizard. I saw it and saw something else completely lol. I linked to your site again...just cuz I'm nice like that lol

Good Work!!

good morning Trée, hope you had a restful night sleep and are having a good day.

(really just waiting patiently for Lisa's portrait LOL )

I like it, reminds me of a spiral staircase. I'd like to see it going up too.

Have a great day! *hugs*

Trée said...

Karen, going up is always a good thing. :-)

Trée said...

Trace, you have to wait no longer dear. Hope you are feeling better today.

I know I just saw it, and it is wonderful

I am 150% better, I feel like a new woman :0)

Trée said...

You're most welcome Dawn. Glad to see you make use of my images. I like what you do with them and other views are always welcomed and appreciated. An owl. Mmm . . . :-)

Trée said...

Beard, I couldn't have let George say it better than that. lol

Nicely said. The photographs of our life projected as the real thing. Thanks for sharing. Beautiful.

Trée said...

Evening Sunshine. :-)

Is the intermission over yet. I'm in my seat with popcorn and coke ready to go. lol

Anonymous said...

Ah, yes, sorry about that - let my excitement get away from me :-)
Technical difficulties. Meanwhile have another coke, on the house of course.

Trée said...

Ok, I can wait. :-)

Thanks for the coke.

Anonymous said...

Ahhh, love those colors... as they invite you further down, down down the spiral. Gorgeous Tree.

Trée said...

Thanks Terry. I like the simplicity of this one and the message the image conveys. I could have this one on my wall. :-)
