Mountains

Do the trees on the side of this mountain look at each other and say, "We are on a mountain and as such our fate is much greater than our brethren in the valley. We face the wind and the cold in ways they will never know. Woe be us." Or do they simply rejoice in being a bit closer to the sun, a bit closer to the heavens. I'd like to think they do neither, but rather express themselves fully as trees without the layers of this or that.

Imagine the wonder of being a tree. Your roots embrace the loving soil that kindly gives it's nutrients to whatever extent it can, holding nothing back. That's love. Your leaves reach ever upward to greet the rays of warmth that have travelled so far to fulfill their destiny of mutual reward like a key finding it's lock. To be a tree, perpetual ménage à trois.

Its not even funny, how good these fractals are getting. I love the 'abstract' ones, where the possibilities of perception are practically endless, but this one and the planes yesterday are 'real'. I laughed when I saw this, not because it was funny etc, but a 'wow laugh' as in you just keep outdoing yourself time and time again!
And you know, I'm loving the writing.
'without layers of this and that', very nicely said.
And for the classic Trée:
"To be a tree, perpetual ménage à trois." lol, like I said, have no idea where you pluck these things from, but from somewhere where fun visits and wit reigns :-)

Morning my sweet, hope you are having a glorious day ;-)

A, the sunshine is out here and there and I'm lovin' it from both sides. :-)

I do appreciate your very kind words. I always wonder what people are going to think of the next one, so to hear positive feedback is very, very nice.

Where do these things come from: Remember Fault #1. Also, you can blame Holly. I was pretty content just assigning quotes to these images when she challenged me to add my own thoughts. Blessing or curse can be laid at her doorstep--lol.

Have a great day Sunshine and a glorious weekend too. :-)

Bless Holly for helping provide us with this extra zest :-)

Back attcha on the wishes for the day and the weekend!

This picture looks like somewhere I can't wait to go - like a mountain range with small cozy chalets tucked away in the evergreens. Lovely how you added touches of mountains being kissed by the sun.

"To be a tree, perpetual ménage à trois." ..... did I miss something here?

How cool is that! Very lovely my dear.

Morning Terry. "Perpetual ménage à trois" is in reference to the love between the tree, the soil and the sun. :-)

I too liked the golden light warming the mountainside. I find much peace whenever I can get to the mountains.

Trée - it's been ok...I didn't get to sleep in like I usually do on Fridays cuz someone sprung a meeting on me almost last minute. But I get to go watch tv with my mom tonight, so it'll turn out ok after all!

You bring us joy in things a camera never could see. How magnificently the sun shines on the snowy peaks. And to be a tree...ah...tree's know what life is all about. They see ages and ages pass. They know what we should learn. Lean with the wind. Move with the earth. Live now.

I love this one.
