Standing at the line, dart in hand, eyes firmly focused ahead, my mind melds one into the other and there is no room for anything other than the precious present of now. My bag of rocks, one labeled past and the other labeled future have been left outside the door. I'll pick them back up when the game is over, but for now, it's just me, the darts and the board. Where one ends and the other begins I couldn't tell you and I wouldn't want it any other way. Let's play.

Jack, the real title of this one is "Alien Pod Landing Pad." Just don't tell anyone else.
Both the creation and the text are great.
Glad to hear you will "pick them back up when the game is over". That's an excellent approach.

very very nice :0)
glad I decided to stop by before my meeting, I like :0)
Paul, you are always welcomed to say such nice things about both the image and the text. Wanted to do something a little more down to earth after our roller coaster ride through the cosmos over the weekend. :-)
Hey Trace. Hope you are having a pleasant and productive Monday. Take care of that voice like warm honey. Now go get that paper done. :-)
I always like to see what my first impression is before I read the title or your explanation. Sorry, but this time I came up with the little drummer boy - it has Christmas colors and at the center lies the drum. Man, now that song is stuck in my head :-) Dart board works too. I think it is beautiful.
Terry, I love it. Now I want to download and listen to Little Drummer Boy and look at this image again. With each new view that someone contributes, the images grows in depth. Thanks so much for sharing. Now, to download the song. :-)
Terry, btw, what is your favorite version of LDB?
If such a thing were possible, I would have to say you're almost getting too good at creating these!
Afternoon, Trée, hope you're having a great one :-)
Sunshine, thanks for asking. My day is going well. I've taken your words to heart and will carry them with all day long. I'm leaving my jacket at home, for your words alone are all I need to keep me warm. Thank you for such a wonderful gift.
I can't say I have a favorite version of Little Drummer Boy - although I do have a childhood record of it done by a children's chorus which I love. There is one out that is by a men's chorus which I think is far too serious. I like upbeat and happy.
That is really cool and your words were fitting. I liked the way you pick them back up ready to start again.
:-)
Great talent for verbal expression too.
x
Terry, I can't make up my mind. Need more time to listen to all the 30 sec samples again. Regardless, I might need the Cash version just because I love his voice. :-)
Karen, always so good to see you. How are you feeling today? Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers dear.
Sunshine, :-)
This is a dart board! Amazing that you got it so perfect. I have to think you have some kind of hack to make Apophysis bend to your will. All I manage to get are things that kinda, mighta, coulda, look like something. While you get the real thing! Fantastic.
But on the other hand it could be an Alien Pod Landing Pad as well. Maybe it serves a dual purpose and the aliens are dart enthusiasts in their spare time. ;)
Thanks Jack. This image is a standard spiral design that I zoomed in on to the max. Nothing really complicated or fancy. In fact, I had created this one several weeks ago but never felt like it was anything special so I just let it sit. I do appreciate those very kind words and I do believe this could be a dual purpose image. :-)
My bag of rocks is so heavy that I don't think that I could ever pick it up again if I set it down.
One of these days.... uh oh. I just put another rock in the bag. Is there no hope. Uh oh. :)
Beard, you must be a very strong man carrying all those rocks around. :-)
The colour and patterns detract from the bulls eye. The fun is in playing not necessarily winning. :)
Chicky, I couldn't agree more. Winning and losing are arbitray constructs we create, graft if you will, upon the flow of pure joy. Let the joy of play flow unimpeded by our concepts of score. Now, if my paycheck depends upon winning, then that's a whole nutter matter--lol. :-)
