Limitless

My arms fold into you with a care and strength unknown to any other. I glance into your eyes and marvel at the curve of your cheeks illuminated by a million stars on this moonless night with the soft reddish cast from our gently ringing red bells. The river appears on fire with thousands of multi-colored flower candles drifting down the river with nary a bob, such is the quiet of the night, the smoothness of the glass-like river surface.

From the banks, a thousand eyes watch for the first kiss, a kiss between lovers from a distant land and another time. The warmth and softness of the embrace meld the beat of my heart into yours, and for a moment, there is just this, there is just now, there is just us.

My love knows no bounds, no limits. Try as I might what is mine is yours and what is yours is mine, where before there were two, now stands one. Through the tremble of my lips, my love overflows beyond any power I have to contain it and I feel a lightness to the night that defies description. I'm in love and my heart overfloweth into the soul of my lover. As the candles flow down the river, we flow together in timeless enchantment fueled by hearts that know no bounds.

you are amazing, that is just beautiful, especially when you put all three of them in sequence. I don't even know what to say, I don't care what some college told you, you are very talented.

Oh my! Firstly, gorgeous fractal, warm, rich and vibrant.

As for the words...oh! my! gosh! I would want for every person to feel what you express here at least once in their lifetime, even if it were just for a little while.
I've fallen in love too, with that last line :-). "As the candles flow down the river, we flow together in timeless enchantment fueled by hearts that know no bounds."
You've definitely missed a calling - you could write romance novels, sweetie, and write them well ;-).
In short, wow!

ROTFLMAO. You guys don't know how close I came to editing out that last sentence.

Oh how I would like to be on that bridge in that distance land transported back in time. Lover in my arms, cool crisp autumn evening and sandwiched between the candle light from the river and the milky way above. To feel those soft lips press against mine, to feel the embrace that says you and no other would I want here, to know that experience, to have that moment.

I do sincerely appreciate the very kind words the two of you have offered here tonight. They truly do touch my heart and mean so much to read.

Oh how I would like to be on that bridge in that distan.....

Oh my (said in my best Susan Sarandon voice) :0)

and that original line just makes the piece, glad you left it in :0)

So glad you didn't - it is the absolute clincher!
Speaking nothing but the truth at its sincerest.
Limitless is what you are, x

Well, remind me not to pursue a career as an editor--lol.

*Big Sigh*

What can I say. Both of you say the kindest and sweetest things. I wish I could bottle the way you both make me feel and drink from it whenever I needed a little more love in my life. :-)

Let me ask you both a question. This is the second time I've done a series of images to tell a story (the first with my dad).

Do either of you have an opinion on whether you like this method or does it really not matter one way or the other?

I personally like the variety and the unfolding of a story with prose and images, yet sometimes just a single image with a single idea is all that is called for. I guess I like both, although to tell a story with multiple images is harder to do and requires quite a bit more work.

Outside of just a handful of people who come here, I think most just read the latest post and move on and as such would not even realize this is the third installment on a short story.

Penny for your thoughts.

hmmmm that is a tough one. They both offer so much. I can't even begin to tell you how much the tribute to your dad touched my heart, and tonite's all I can say is "damn" and fan myself.

But on the other hand, I honestly like them both. I had zippers on my desktop for days just staring at it, that was one of the most amazing pieces of art. Shoot I have most of them rotating on a screen saver.

I just can't choose, its like choosing between really good choclate and really good sex, ya just don't want to make that choice LOL

I can give you a definite opinion on one thing though, I love the fact that you are using your writing now (thank you Holly!), I love a good quote as much as the next person, but you have an amazing soul Trée, and the pieces have just come to life with your voice behind them.

ok so you got more than a pennies worth LOL, blame the wine I had with dinner :0)

Each method has charm.
The series are something special though. The ones regarding your father were simply amazing - I don't have the skill to express properly all the feelings that are evoked in me (someone unconnected) and these are evoked by the images and words as they appear one by one, like a build up to a spectacular climax. Like I said, the ones for your father were indescribable as a whole, though I commented on each individually. The power of several is much greater. Poignant to the point where I feel like (although in reality I do of course not) I am feeling what you are feeling - whether I am imagining people I myself have lost, imagining what it would be like to lose my own father, or simply just affected completely by the emotion in the words and images, I'm not sure...
These tonight are wonderful for different reasons. Again the build-up lends them more power, the message is longer, the experience - there's more words, more layers of emotion, more meat in short. Sometimes of course short and concise does the job just as well, but there is something very special about the seies.
(too long for me to edit, hope it makes sense)
:-)

Keshi, so good to see my angel appear from the land down under. Are you taking good care of those wings? Thanks sweetie for always leaving such positive comments to brighten my spirit. Just seeing that you have visited makes me smile. :-)

Trée said...

A, first, thanks for taking the time to write such a long reply; second, it was very clear.

I like the way you described the short series--I feel the same way. I tend to go back and read the first one after the second appears and then go back to read the first and second after the third appears. I know that sounds silly, but it's a little like reading a diary, you just want to go back and put the pieces togehter and feel the whole, which is always greater than the individual parts.

Thanks for sharing sweetie. :-)

Trace, if you knew what I keep in my fridge you would realize you don't have to make this a choice:

"its like choosing between really good choclate and really good sex,"

Thanks for sharing your thoughts. We really do have Holly to blame for this because I never had any intention of putting my own writing or thoughts under these images. I can't begin to tell you how much your comments and the comments of others have encouraged me to continue to do these fractals and continue to tell either little stories like today or offer my thoughts on the image like I've done otherwise.

When I was coming back home on Wednesday, a lady saw my St. George hat and started a conversation--she had lived there. I asked if she wanted to see my pictures from vacation (I have all my images on my laptop). Before I could get to those pics she saw my fractals and wanted to see those. What was interesting, is the story I told about the fractals make her eyes open to their beauty whereas I had the feeling that without the prose they would have just been pretty pics but nothing special. It was an interesting experience.

Thanks again Trace. I appreciate your reply. :-)

The Trilogy, was great. In words and in renders.

I can't put words together like that. What is in my head does not translate to the keyboard. My titles, tell the story, but you have to know the key. Sometimes it is in plain sight, other times you have to ponder for a while. Sometimes you won't figure it out. Sometimes I hate to put titles, because people don't see what I see. But the title has a meaning to me.

I think your writing with some and just a title on the others, are both good. Keep doing both.

Trée said...

djb, thanks for taking the time to view and read all three. Sometimes the words flow and sometimes there is nothing. Had a little bit of flow tonight. :-)

I loved your face and feel inspired to do a couple faces too although the one's I've been working on are more scary alien type faces than make you laugh. I might post some tomorrow.

I appreciate your input and think I will follow that advice and just let what happens happen. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving.

Sunshine, hope you've had a wonderful day. :-)

Morning!

Almost always - I did, in other words. Hope you did too of course :-)

Trée said...

Well Sunshine, I'm on my way back to the kitchen for my second cup of coffee. Read your post this morning but I'm not awake enough to respond with anything meaningful yet. And yes, I would like to play with you. Oh, wrong question. You asked if anyone wanted to play in the snow. Yes to that too. :-)

Anonymous said...

:-)

I'd roll you in the snow and stuff some down your back - when it comes to snow fights, I fight to win :-)

Listen, don't worry about commenting - alls well with regard to the person of whom I was speaking, x

Trée said...

I'd let you win the battle in hopes of winning the war. :-)

Ah, a strategy -

Imagine having a huge hottub we could slip into after the battle in the snow. Mmm . . .

Several years ago, I was in Chico Hot Springs (Montana) in Feb. The temp was 30 degrees below zero and the hotel was in the middle of nowhere. They had an outdoor pool heated by the natual hot springs and you were allowed to swim. The pool connected to the bar, so you you order drinks from the warm water. The sight of being outdoors, in a pool, surrounded by snow and ice and people walking by all bundled up, was simply surreal and wonderful. Memories I will always cherish.

Trée said...

Lisa--ROTFLMAO. To make a long story short, {TYSH} means "Toothy Yellow Smile Here."

The reference is from another board that used to use emoticons and the smiley had a wonderful toothey smile and was typical smiley yellow. Well, the board changed their emoticons to something inhouse and one of the old board members starting using {TYSH} as a way to protest the change. So, just think of {TYSH} as my secret little smilie. :-)

thank god its friday?
(oops, maybe not...)

Trée said...

Lisa, I have to admit, I like all your creations much better. I never knew {TYSH} could mean so many things. I may need to start using it more often and let people guess which meaning is intended. :-)

hey, at least i'm hip enough to have known that
rotflammo or whatever the heck it is, means
rolling on the floor laughing my airplane off....

yellow smile? sheesh, you'd better keep that a secret!

I know. Too much coffee and tea. {TYSH}

I believe I have just swooned.

I remember being that much in love. I remember the world was suddenly full of color and smell and I wished every emotion I had on every person in existence. You captured it so very beautifully.

I will say again; Trée - take the best images and the best stories and make a book. Publish it and enjoy the Hallmark royalties because it will sell. You are truly gifted.

I hope your holiday was/is splendid.

Trée said...

Aggie, you are such a dear sweet woman to say the most incredibly endearing things. Perhaps one day, such a book will exist--one should never say never. Our Thanksgiving was very quaint and very nice. Just my family with my mother-in-law. We ate, watched football, movies, and blogged. The dogs laid in the sun from the window and had a bit of turkey too. All were full, stuffed, thankful and sleepy.

How was your day dear?

Anonymous said...

Told you, we'd all agreed on your behalf about a book being the logical next step :-)!

Anonymous said...

I had a peaceful Thanksgiving. The highlight of which was talking to my father on the phone. He was thankful to be home on Thanksgiving day. I was happy for him.
Long road ahead but grateful for the things we have.

I spent an enormous amount of time creating the most fantastic fractal....only to find that is saved as a .png and since I do not have photoshop, I cannot seem to do anything at all with it. ARGH.
I'm off to try again.

Trée said...

Aggie, that is such good news. Each point of contact with your father is a memory to cherish for the rest of your life. So glad he was able to spend Thanksgiving at home.

Now you have me really excited to see what you've created. :-)

Anonymous said...

Thanks Trée. It was great to laugh with Dad for a bit. Great to hear him relaxed.

I love the mental image of your puppies all laying in the sunbeams. That's one of my favorite things about pets. They seek out and soak up that warmth.
We could learn a thing or two, huh?

I'm recovering my fractal and saving it as a jpg. Three hours to render. We'll see if it's worth it. :)

Trée said...

Anticipation. :-)

Wow. I have lots of catching up to do at your place, but this stanza caught my attention. How truly you captured the feelings of love. Wow. Have you been reading my mind lately? Your words are perfect.

Trée said...

Thanks Terry. Make sure you read the one right before this one. This is number three of four that tell a story. Just click on the archive for November toward the bottom of my sidebar to read about the candle flowers floating down the river that starts this series. Enjoy.
