Old Man Winter

After the recent warm front, I paid a little visit to this guy. He assures me Winter is on the way. Hang tight everyone, the man has spoken. :-)

Oh well. They keep getting better and better. I wish I was able to do something like that (most of the time I just get wavy lines). This really does look like icecaps. Excellent.

Thanks Jack. Every day I learn something new about the program. Shame there is not a detailed manual on all the features. I would say there is still much more I don't know than do. As always, thanks for your kind words my friend.

Very, very nice. Linny should come have a look at this one, it has that fantasy art quality to it, illuminous, magical.

I'm all for warm weather in fall, and have been enjoying it immensely, but I am ready for winter now :0)

another amazing picture Trée

When you see Linny, tell her I miss her. She's on dial-up at home and I've got a feeling dail-up users cannot access my site with the large number of images I post.

But tell her I miss her dearly and if I have to drive down to Atlanta myself to install the hardware she needs for a satisfying experience, I'm willing and able. :-)

Thanks Trace. I enjoyed creating this one. We are going to hit the 80s this week if you can believe that.

same here, high 70's most of the week, and though it is great convertible weather :0) There is a reason I don't live full time in a tropical climate, I like winter :0)

Trace, where I live we have four evenly divided seasons. Kinda eerie how every four months, almost to the week, you can sense the change in seasons. The other nice thing, is none of the seasons here are extreme. Just enough heat in the summer and just enough cold in the winter, and the spring and fall are to die for. I love this part of the country, just love it.

:0) its part of the reason I love the midwest, though we do tend to have some extremes here. I couldn't imagine it not being cold with hopefully snow at Christmas :0) now the day after Christmas.....totally different story LOL

that being said, I'm not gonna pass up a beautiful day, the weather beckons and I must answer its call :0) not gonna be doing anymore homework today LOL

Rhiannon, it's done. Beautiful poem you have up currently. Hope to see you around again. All are welcome here and comments are engaged. Sometimes my comments section seems more like a chat forum, but I kinda like it that way. I love the sense of connection and interaction. :-)

LOL - Old Man Winter, huh? I'm not buying it. I think it's going to be summer until February.
I'm barely even wearing the clothes on the WINTER side of my closet.
I'm ready to post snow pics and there's no snow so I think they'll melt if I do.

I hope you bribed him well! My fireplace is overflowing with "kindling" already.

Trée said...

Aggie, be careful when saying things like "I'm barely even wearing the clothes on." Oh my, remember Fault #1? LMAO

You know, as long as those boots are on, to hell with the rest. :-)

Anonymous said...

LOL Trée. Leave it to you to take it entirely out of context. What will we do with you??
I suspect we will just have to hug the stuffins out of ya!!!
((((((((((((((((()))))))))))))))

Trée said...

Oh Aggie, I think you know exactly what you are doing with statements like that--and I love you to pieces for it!

What was that quote about desire being like saltwater. :-)

Anonymous said...

...to quench a thirst?
Ah, there is much I desire....and quite a lot of saltwater about.

Trée said...

But my saltwater comes with a bit of protein. Does that count? ;-)

That's stunning. LIke an Ice Angel.

And it was soooo freaking hot here today I think I've got my tan back now.

Trée said...

Thanks Holly. Did you see--no quote--no story--just me saying something--lol.

We've been having a mini heat wave here too. Feels more like late summer than fall. :-(

Anonymous said...

Hmmmm..... It snowed here today, and, ironically enough, you have old man winter on your site! LOL

It's amazing for me to see other people in the middle of veritable heat waves when it's so rainy and miserable at the moment where I live.

Trée said...

Sherri, I thought you were in North Carolina? Did you get snow there? Or are you living in Michigan now?

Awesome! The ice-blue made me feel the coolness :-)

I hope you had a great weekend.

Hey, Karen. I always love seeing your pic on my comments. I can never get enough of your wonderful smile. :-)

I can't believe the view out your backyard--WOW. Where do you live by the way. That view is incredible.

Anonymous said...

There is just one word for this - WOW!

This one has blown me away. You are so talented!

Trée said...

Oh Leigh, I'm so tempted to play with your words but my better judgment is kicking in. Thanks for those wonderful warm words of encouragement. :-)

Awesome. This is how Ol' Man Winter should look. Something you dread when the flowers are dying; yet you can't help getting uplifted at first, when you see those first beautiful snowflakes twinkling on the ground in the moonlight.

Trée said...

Darlene, thanks for stopping by. I suppose living in Minnesota Ol' Man Winter probably has a very different meaning for you than for me, a boy who lived in Louisiana for 29 years before moving to Tennessee. I lived in Minnesota one summer many years ago. It's a wonderful place in the summer. :-)

Thanks for your kind words. I'm glad you liked the image.

Beautiful picture Tree. The old man looks suspiciously like a persian cat face... After further study I was able to see cold icey purple crystals of a beard, with faerie shapes flitting about...

I'd love to visit Tennessee sometime - I have a feeling I will. It sounds so nice, and I have to say the accents of those nice folks who live there are inviting.

Trée said...

An educated Southern accent is a beautiful thing, some might even say, dare I, sexy. lol

If you ever come, come this time of year. The colors will blow your mind. I've been here 12 years now, and I still have to pick my jaw up day after day at this time of the year.

Awww, thanks for that! You're sweet.

I live in Ogden, Utah. Just north of Salt Lake City where the 2002 Winter Olympics was.

*hugs*

Karen, I've been to Park City many times. What a beautiful part of the world you live in. Wish I was there. :-)

Park City is a fun place to visit, and is very beautiful up there. I wish I could afford to live there ;-)

Trée said...

Karen, I've been lucky to spend time there the last two summers. This past summer we stayed at the Park City Hotel, which is beyond nice. They say in winter season the suites go for $700-$800 a night. In the middle of summer we paid something like $159. I could not recommend the place more highly.
