Post subject: Grid.org scheduled outage
Dear Members,

This is a reminder that Grid.org will be physically moving to a new facility this weekend. This will provide better reliability and is part of the Grid.org migration. Grid.org must be completely powered down in order to move. This will include the forum, member web, and the grid itself.

Since this is not a trivial outage, we cannot give an exact time that Grid.org will be down. The outage will take as long as it takes and it may be a day or two before everything is back online.

Fellow cancer fighting teammates, this is good news as the folks that capture all our data for Oxford are in process of upgrading both hardware and software that runs these molecules that we crunch.

Nothing for us to do on our end but wait for the installation of the new hardware. If your computer tries to upload a workunit while the grid is down, no worries, it will continute to try once a hour to connect until such time that the grid comes back online.

If I hear more news, I'll post it here.

As always, I appreciate each and every one of you guys helping in the fight against this terrible disease.

Have actually been having problems uploading results for about 24 hours, but on and off - won't upload at the moment either, but now I know why and don't have to worry (yes, I worry when it doesn't seem to be working, lol), thanks for the info.
