Begeisterung: Fire in the Belly

Catch on fire with enthusiasm and people will come for miles to watch you burn.

John Wesley

Nobody grows old merely by living a number of years. We grow old by deserting our ideals. Years may wrinkle the skin, but to give up enthusiasm wrinkles the soul.

I am in awe with each new fractal!

"Catch on fire with enthusiasm" interesting, but not as much as "and people will come for miles to watch you burn." That makes me think of Bonaduche "I'm a car crash and you have every right to slow down and watch the car crash."
Maybe it's just my mood.

Trée, this fractal is amazing and I don't know how you did it. I think I've seen it before...in a movie...Alien maybe? ;)

"Catch on fire with enthusiasm...." Hmmm....from experience right now I can tell ya that it is the last thing I would do :p
That fractal looks pretty similar to how my back and tummy's been feeling for the past days.

Thanks A. This one is a little different from the rest. A bit more masculine with a nordic look. The first version was done in purples and blues and had a icy look, almost like viking warriors frozen in ancient tombs. As I played the the colors and I got the orange "in the belly" I knew right away I wanted to change direction from ice to fire so to speak. Thanks as usual for your kind words.

Aggie, you are so sweet to say such nice things and I do appreciate it very, very much. This one took probably longer to make than anything I've done so far. It's not lovey-dovey eye candy but I like what I see in this one. :-)

Christa, I received your "Frankie" drawing today and it looks fantastic. Thank you so much for being so kind as to draw him and then send me the drawing. Time to go frame shopping now. :-)

More alien pods! They're breeding I tell you! Planning on taking over the world. Or perhaps some hapless bug just got caught in the web of a very P.O.ed spider.

Jack, how can I poplulate the world with alien pods when you keep telling everyone where to look. ;-)

All your images are beautiful and unique. I look forward to seeing each new creation.

Stargazer, compliments like that are only going to encourage me--lol. Those words are so nice to hear. I create images I like in which I see something that speaks to me. That others enjoy them too is the icing on my cake, and icing is a very delicious thing. Is yours vanilla or chocolate? ;-)

You don't have to answer that--lol.

Terry, perhaps this one should have been in my Halloween collection. It's so interesting you saw it as scary. I saw the symbolism of enthusiasm represented by what appears to be "fire in the belly" of sleeping nordic gods, warriors or kings, awaiting the right time to reawaken to resume their rightful place in the world. Imagination is a wonderful thing. :-)
