I like it! The first picture reminds me of some tool used to smooth out wood, only I can't remember the name. The second reminds me of a tree, maybe with its trunk broken or something.
Melly, the first picture caught my eye because of the "T" shape in the middle along with the fact that it just looks like the brush stokes of a Japanese Zen Master.
The bottom of the "T" appears to have a "rocker" on it, and right now my life has been rocking just a bit so I thought, mmm . . .
Oooo...very interesting. I like your choice of colors. I see your zen circle in that first one too.
Abstract art rarely does anything for me. It's often difficult to discern the artist's motivation and so I have a hard time "feeling" anything for the pieces. HOWEVER, upon first sight of these, and not knowing they were your creations, I was very moved. The first is very calming. (and I thought, now that would be a great background for my blog. lol) The third...looks like a fall day to me. Nicely done!
Sherri, Karen, Linny, and Aggie, thanks for the kind words. They are a lot of fun and quite relaxing to create. I'm glad Oliviah pushed me to take the fractal leap. ;-)
Thanks A. I've got a few more I've done that I really like that at a future time I might post. I've had a blast working with this program. It's a free download. Just google Apoohysis and you'll find it, if that sort of thing interests you.
Thanks. BTW I listened to a little Eels the other day, only what was to be found on their website, so not much. One reminded me of Elvis and the other of (band name escapes me..) the song "If you're going to California, be sure to wear some flowers in your hair". Interesting voice, deep and moanie. Anyways, I liked what I heard.
I can't listen to Eels everyday, but when I'm in the mood for his style of music, there is simply no one better. His voice and song writing is unique, and it's nice to hear something a little different that has some meaning and depth to it. E has had his share of tragedy, without which he wouldn't be able to write or sing the way he does, and I like a little pain and tragedy in my music. Glad to introduce him to you. :-)
Oh these are wonderful! The heart has such a smooth flow, almost fluid...these certainly evoke a lot of feeling. Funny how often it is hard to find words for the feelings. Probably because the images often stir up feelings that we can't quite identify with words. I am so glad you are enjoying Apophysis. And also glad you are posting what you are creating!
Oliviah, thanks so much for educating me about this program. I love working with the images and will probably post one per week. Your kind words are also much appreciated. :-)
Daddyjarbucks, the blue one is my fav of the first four too. It was the last one I did and I knew how to work with the program just a bit more. Although the Monk in Red Robes might be moving into first place. Thanks for stopping by and thanks for the kind words. Much appreciated.

I'll probably be followed by some facinatingly insightful appraisal, but..
Pretty!
A, sometimes "Pretty" is all that is required. :-)

I'll echo Autumn Storm - Pretty!

I LIKE them. 2 nd pic ...interstellar spaceship.
phred, that was my first thought too. Something from Farscape perhaps.
What`s that old saying about great minds ...
Wow! Very interesting... It seems like your "one track mind" is under control again...! LOL... Or at least until the next FNF...! ;-)
Is that the kettle calling my pot black--lmao ;-)
HA! LOL! I thought you'd appreciate that! I see you added another picture! :-) Hmmm........
Y, how do you like my heart fractal?
The heart if beautiful - really like that!
(btw I see amongst other things a witch and a dragon in the other two, so this 3rd one has a completely different theme - in my most humble opinion.)
It's lovely Tree...! :-)

That's pretty cool. I'm still high on paint fumes but I think I can safely say that even if I wasn't, I'd think this was nice.
You did a brilliant job, wow!
I love these! They're awesome!

Very Impressive.
Jack, thanks for such kind words. The program is a blast to play with and with time I'll understand better how it works.
I like your fourth too!

Well Done. I like them all, but the first blue one is my favorite. That style seems to speak to my mind the most.
