201. The Spades
"John, we have every confidence they've moved undersea. You know what this means," said Tom, standing erect, arms folded, face like a statue.John stared into his unblinking eyes. As much as he didn't want to admit it, Tom was right. With rolled lips and a heavy sigh John said, "Release the spades . . . and notify Kyra I need to see her right now.""Yes sir," replied Tom.Categories: Story, John Discovery

And notify Tre that I need to see him right now...
Keshi.
I'm here, darlin', front and center. Bells optional. :-D
Ominous tone to this one. Totally brilliant. Its amazing how you can imply so much with so few words.
Pretty fractal you've got there :)
Looks like a leaf here and there, and maybe the rest is a tree branch? Or that might be my vision only :p
Jenni, not sure how I do it either. Now I have to figure out just exactly what these underwater spades are. :-)
As always, thanks very much for the kind words.
Afternoon Christa. After Deb's comment on the image for Like Magic, I had to ask myself why I wasn't using Xenodream more. So, I opened it up and in just a few minutes I had this image, which has a wonderful 3D look to it. When I used the lighting preset for an underwater scene, I just knew I had something very different for the story and something, like Jenni said, that looks very ominous. This chapter was all about the image. Good to see you around Christa. Hope you got the pain meds you needed.
Meg, Meg, Meg. :-D
I like the dragonfly view. As always, thanks for the kind words. :-)
Okay, sometimes I guess you've just got to call a spade a spade. Er... exactly what IS a spade? Looks like some kind of robotic hummingbird fish. Hmmm - interesting though Trée - I like the color. Looks a little sharp to me.
Terry, spades are a combination underwater bloodhound/piranha organism bred specifically for the task at hand. :-)
Long or short, all your chapters have this in common, they leave me wanting more. Beautiful fractal, I've been neglecting the images I know since I have been here, mostly because more often than not the story is easier for me personally to comment upon than an image, where sometimes I just have no idea what I might say of any interest over and above the fact that I like the look of it. I like the look of this one. Too.
On the edge as always.
Miss you twice as much as to the stars and back, xo
Sunshine, thanks for your kind words and I understand what you mean about the images. After a couple hundred you just kinda struggle to say something new other than wow, that's nice. :-D
Sorry to hear the date has been moved back once again. So odd, you would think they would want your business. Already, they have missed one month of billing. Multiply that by how many other customers they have not serviced and it makes you wonder how much they really want or care to have your business. Here in the states, you would have someone out with a couple days, if not the next day. I'm truly at a loss to understand this business model that keeps putting you off and off and off.
Agreed. It's completely rediculous, yet when we speak to them, the attitude seems to be that we should be grateful it is happening as quick as it is. Simple apologies, no explanations as to why the information we receive seems to have been wrong or ill-explained several times. Dates I thought were set in stone (save worrying after Christa's warning) were not so, black on white meant very little, but I do believe that this new date given to me by a more senior member of staff will be the one, optimistic perhaps given their track record, but I sure hope not.
Take good care of you, I'll likely not be in before Sunday, so wishing you a good couple of days. xo
I love the frac - spiky and dangerous to match the tone of John's order.
Karen, prepare yourself for the anti-spades! Coming soon. :-D
Oh I've got more painmeds than I can possibly get rid of :p
And that's a great result in just a few minutes. But I guess that's the charm with these sort of images. You never know what they will come out like or the time frame :)
Glad to hear you got the meds you needed. Pain meds can be a wonderful thing, sometimes a little too wonderful. :-)
With all these programs, sometimes you just get really lucky without doing much work. Other times, however, make up for it. :-D
Good to see you stopping by Christa. Keep warm.
