768. once black, now bright

Her lips heal wounds seen not of eye, felt not of hand, known not other than tear streaked pain. And in her arms, salvation, light, a future once black, now bright.

Can you understand that asked Trev.

Rog looked at him judging the proper response.

You don't, do you?

I'm sorry Trev. Just don't really get it.

Trev sighed. Rog looked away. Nothing more was said.

I understand this. Many people think they do, but few truly do. I truly understand this, and it is only a lucky few that experience it. Trev and Em have something truly special. What everyone wants, dreams of, but only a few experience.

LotL, I think you are right--few do, although many think they do. And for those blessed few, may they carry the light for the rest of us. :-)

I think of Aristophanes as I read this, of soul mates, of wholeness sought and found once again. I think of the blessed, and wish that we all might be. I hope, regardless of what she might know, Yul did not witness. Excellent chapter!!
