123. Torpedoes

Attachment and resistance. Where there is pain one or both of these twin brothers will be near.

Or

The electro-magneto pulse proton torpedo caught Bravo-Four-Zero completely by surprise. "All hands on deck," yelled Kyra. "Rog, take manual control. Maneuver is our only chance."

"Why does danger always come in such a good-looking package," said Rog, glancing toward Yul.

"Rog!"

"Alright, alright, I'm on it."

What an amazing image you created. And something to ponder: "Why does danger always come in such a good-looking package?"

I'm not sure, but I think Rog is more switched-on than we've been giving him credit. :-)

Thanks, as always, for the kind words. I'm liking 2.04 more and more.

Cool! The story is back. Is this your not so subtle way of telling us that Kyra is now awake? And what happened to Kieran? Did they bury him, cremate him or simply shove him out of the airlock saying "its what he would have wanted"?

Ooooh, so many questions. :-)

Kyra actually woke on this post with Von in the room and also made a short appearance on the last post in the story directing Rog to look for food. So, yes, she's awake.

Kieran has passed to another level of existence beyond the temporal plane. We will see him again, but not as we have seen him before.

As for his "last rites" so to speak, Von presided over an official Zing Tao burial in space. Quite a moving ceremony and Von did an excellent job.

Keshi, you are like a breath of fresh air. My blog just is not the same without you my dear angel. Did I miss you? More than I can say. Don't leave that bridge, I'm on my way over. :-D

Thanks for the sweet words on the image. :-)

Amazing torpedo.... after my own heart perhaps?

Oh Chicky, am I that transparent? :-D

You know, I do have a soft spot for any woman who can express herself in words as artfully and elegantly and brilliantly as you do. :-)

Thanks for the answers! Guess we have been without the story for so long that I forgot that Kyra had woken up (whoops). Its great to have it back!

Has been awhile hasn't it. So nice to see your excitement for the story Jenni. We could see a few more postings soon--just depends on proper inspiration. And we all know how fleeting that can be. :-D

"Tom Yam." Ok, Saffy, you are going to have to educate me on what the heck that stuff is. July, Hmm, sounds kinda hot. Will there be lots of sweating involved? :-)

If falling down means at your side I'm all for it. :-D

How is my dear angel doing today?

Oh my. I think this might be THE image that I am most take by. I could stare at it for hours. I could write about it for days. . .

I'm delighted the story is back. I'm ready for some great fiction again. I've missed Kyra. I don't think Rog is so totally compelling. Some days yes.

Oh Liz, thanks for the those wonderfully kind words on the image. Tell me what you see that you find so compelling?

As for the story, I had no idea you were reading it, other than the odd post here and there. Thanks for letting me know. There were times I felt like I was killing my blog with the story since it seemed only two or maybe three people actually were reading it.

Absolutely a-f*&k-ing-mazing image!!! Pretty impressive, all that work to put the story in it's own webspace. Quite a project. Good to know too. :) I shall paruse for the sake of remembering. :)

Hugs to you.

Thanks Aggie. Was quite a bit of work to move the images and then the links, all one at a time. Glad to get it done and know the story has a home of sorts or at least some organization to it other than scattered through my blog. Glad you liked this image. Anytime I can get an "a-f*&k-ing-mazing" out of you I'm a very happy boy. :-)
