The Story

For those that may be interested, the entire image history of the story of Kyra and Zeke has been uploaded to my Web Album here. On each image, which can be seen individually or as a slideshow, I've placed an excerpt from the chapter in the first comment.

Likewise, I've organized links to each and every chapter on del.icio.us here.

I want to thank all those who have followed the story faithfully and given me so much positive encouragement and feedback. The story's not over so stay tuned for future chapters.

I've placed a link (The Story) to all chapters of the story under the Category heading in my sidebar. Peace.

What a beautiful collage! As much as each image is an artform on its own, seeing "the collection" together gives me a different perspective, that of the man behind the creations.

What a lovely trip down memory lane for the future!

Thanks Chicky. The story has been a labor of love and when I look at the 144 images and 121 postings, it is hard to believe. I never imagined it would grow as it has. Thanks for being along for the ride.

Felt good to do some housekeeping and get all the images and postings organized.

Keshi, those are very sweet and very endearing words. Thank you my friend.

Amazing collage! It brings back great memories of various parts of the story.

Really lovely. If (our should it be when) the story makes it to book form, you may well have just designed the cover.

Very cool!

Thanks Jenni. In rereading some of the early chapters I was amazed at the memories that came flooding back. Made me realize how much I miss my characters. :-)

I can identify with missing your characters. When I finished my novel some 18 months ago, I went through a withdrawal period, and later on, a short story which I posted on my blog had a similar impact.

Re-reading some parts is like catching up with old friends. Wouldn't you agree?

Chicky, I couldn't agree more. This story is the first thing I've ever written--I don't count my master's thesis on German history in the 1930s.

This story didn't start with characters and I remember when I first introduced Kyra I had a rather odd feeling as if I needed and wanted to get to know her better. Sometimes I wish I could just sit here and the characters would write their own posts. :-)

First time I took a break I felt the strange sensation that good friends had gone somewhere without me. Before this story, if someone had mentioned missing their characters I would have had no idea what they were talking about.

Now I'm curious. Tell me more about this novel. Is it published? What is it about? I knew from your blog you could write and write very, very well. :-)

love the pictures of the pictures, and what a great idea. I revisit the story often, its great to have the handy links.

hope you have a safe a fun holiday!

Thanks Trace. I'd been meaning to organize the pictures and the links for quite awhile and it felt really good to finally do it yesterday. Now, next time someone asks me what is going on, I have a place to refer them to. The web album with a short excerpt on each image is very nice to click through and get a feel for what is happening or the flow of the story.

Have a great time in Alaska. Everyone I know who has been has said it is a spectacular trip.

Happy 4th of July sweetie! :-D

Same to you Y. Have fun and be safe darlin'. :-)

That's lovely of you to say, Tree, but I'm not of the calibre to be published. I had a story in mind and I decided to write it as a novel and it was quite an achievement when I finished!

I feel the same at present with my current novel but as you know we all need inspiration and determination to continue :).

Chicky, you have talent and I believe the ability to be as good as you want. I know talent when I see it, and you have it my dear. I look forward to the day I can say "I knew her when." :-)

Great stuff!

Oh! For a while I thought the story had ended. If you put the story up, people who missed parts here and there can read the whole thing in sequence.

Tom Yam is a Thai soup made with lemon grass and seafood and usually semi-spicy--very good appetiser on a hot sweltering July Summer days in Bangkok.

Saffy, that's what I did with the story--organized the links and the pictures, each in their own place where anyone can go and look or read from the beginning. The pics and excerpts are on the Web Album and individual links to each post of the story, in order, are on my del.icio.us site. Both links are in this post and also under categories on my sidebar. Enjoy. :-)

Thanks for the info on Tom Yam. Sounds delicious.

Good morning! Oh yeah you did. Too upset over Germany's lost to read properly. Utterly heartbroken, me..

Trée said...

Saffy, I watched that game. Sometimes it's not losing but how you lose that hurts the most and to lose in the last minute of double overtime was just crushingly heartbreaking. Much more so, I think, than if they had lost on PKs. I didn't really have a dog in the fight, so to speak, but after the Italian team played like a bunch of crybabies against the Americans, I would have liked to have seen someone else advance.

Don't they just look wonderful all on a 'scrapboard' like that - just look at how much talent, fractals and writing, has burst forth out of you! - its amazing, and I feel so very, very priveledged (sp?) to have been there following it all along the way. A gift you had to give to all, and I thank you for it!
Sorry, sweetheart, am rushing (again!!) and haven't even the time to do more than skim the words today, but I will be back asap. Miss you so very much, love and hugs to you, xo

Hey Sunshine, no more long trips like this. I have suffered terribly in your absence. ;-)

I do so much appreciate all the love and support you have given to me and this story from the very beginning. Can't wait to hear all the details on your JB experience. :-)

Wow! Now I'm going to have read your story! I wanted to say "Hi" and thanks for your feedback on Oliviah's site yesterday about uploading pics. I've been using the method you explain all along, but it sounded like you had found another way. About two months ago or so blogger just decided not to upload for me. I get the message "Done" every tome I try even, but it never adds the code to my blog. (Well, actually, every now and then it does...which is even more frustrsating!!)

Thanks again for your input.

Evy, Blogger is a strange creature. Sometimes it works flawlessly and other times it works with a lot of flaws. :-)

Have fun with the story. You will see from the first several posts that the story was not begun to be a story but it just kinda evolved. Hope you enjoy it. :-)

Very cool idea. It's a good thing there will be more chapters, I was prepared to write a "no fair leaving it like that" comment LOL

I hope you and Jack had a fabulous 4th. :-D

Wonderful....thanks for sharing your labor of love with the rest of us. I am sure you already know this, but its worth repeating - you've touched many, you really are one of a kind :)

Karen, we had a great 4th. Had our own little private fireworks show. :-)

I'm working on a drawing of Yul at the moment. Not quite where I want it to be but better than before. I think the next chapter will be a discussion between Kyra and Yul that took place just before the Torpedoes incident. Stay tuned. :-)

Oh Meg, you are too kind. But feel free to say again and again if you like. :-D

Thanks sweetie for those very touching words. :-)
