Okay, so she has no eyelashes. We'll see a revision when I figure out how to do them in oil. My, she does have big eyes doesn't she. LOL

Well, I'm sure Ms Mario would be happy to supply you with a long list. :-D

So good to see you stopping by Kel. May today take you into a wonderful weekend filled with love, joy and peace. Your kind words are a blessing my friend. Thanks for brightening my day.

O.K.
What comes around goes around.

I shall plan an AB-FAB weekend, and do as you bid kind Sir.

That is some talent you have, Tree! Beautiful!

Kel, I'll do by best. If that fails, there is always the Margarita machine. :-D

Thank you Chicky. I got lost in the joy of learning how to use Painter yesterday. It was one of those days where you look at the clock and realize you haven't eaten in eight hours and you still don't feel hungry.

Why thank you Meg. Same back at ya. Go have a post worthy weekend and then tell us all about it. :-)

Version 2 posted now. If you didn't see version 1, you didn't miss anything.

I couldn't take the "bug-eyed" look anymore so I did some more work on the eyes.

First, I actually gave her eyelids. Not much, but I used the lids to make the visual part of the eyes smaller and help eliminate that dang deer in the headlights look she had.

Second, even though I still haven't figured out how to do lashes, she has something that as least resembles them, somewhat, if you really use your imagination.

Third, I reworked the irises giving them a second catch light, slightly bigger pupils and more coloring. They look a little more glass-like than the flat look they had before.

There! I feel much better about my baby now. :-D

Thanks Y. This is my first oil painting. I may have to visit Henry for some inspiration. I love his style, not to mention the subjects he chooses. :-)

Have a great weekend darlin'.

Well done. I didn't even notice the big eyes, because I have a set of those children on plates here in the computer room. Used to the look I guess. At least she's not carrying a Proton torpedo! :P

LMAO, that's true DJB. I think she slays her adversaries with a more subtle touch. :-)

Oh Tree, that's just magnificent. Very nice coloring and shading. Individual eyelashes aren't necessary. Just a shadow of depth does the job nicely.
Very, very well done my dear. I'm really starting to get attached to your characters now that I can see what's in your brain. :)

Hugs to you dear. Have a lovely weekend.

Oh my dear Aggie, how I miss you. I don't think you have any idea how I count the days between your visits. Your kinds words, coming from someone like yourself that I know can draw, are very sweet and much appreciated. Remember, you did ask me to do some shading. Can't fault me for trying now can you? :-)

I do miss you so much and I miss those boots and meetings down on the corner too. :-)

Take care my dear sweet sexy woman.

So very lovely she looks, a porcelean quality to her, reminds me of those paintings one might see on oriental teacups and the like. Was quite blown away and then I read your comments, so am off hereafter (well after reading your next chapter) to see the a version that promises then to be even more delightful. Wow!

Sunshine, so good to see you. I replaced version one, which was posted here, with version two, which is what you see now. I could always post the first version to Trebuchet if you want to see the difference.

What would be more interesting is seeing the original Kyra compared to this one. Now there is a remarkable difference.

To redraw her and then do the painting took as much time as about five chapters. If I were better with Painter it could have been done quicker, but as with all skills, when you are not very good, it takes a lot more time. I like the progression from the first Kyra to this one. Still, if my ability with Painter grows, I'd like to do another at that point.

As always my sweetest, your kind words are like honey from heaven to me. Thinking of you and your father. Thoughts and prayers.
