Access by Accident

I arrived at the resort. Asked about internet access. $12.50 a day. Not good because I'm tight and that is outrageous. Bellman took me to my room. A Ms Rachel George was in the room, no relation and not bad looking either. However, she wasn't too excited to see me. So back to the front desk. I said if they would give me free internet for the week I would forget their little faux pas. And thus the first of three IFs were overcome.

A few days ago, at the request of some friends that wanted to see some of the images that I was creating but not posting with the story, I created Trebuchet as a place to post those images. No titles, no prose, just misc images. Many of the images are alt versions of ones from the story and a few may still appear in the story. A few of them hint at possible things to come.

Since I'm only posting images to that site, I should be able to update it each day for those that need a fractal fix. Time and energy permitting, this site might see an update, but these meetings tend to be all consuming so no promises.

Thanks to everyone who stopped by to wish me well. Your thoughts and comments are very much appreciated.

Other than dropping my iPod twice on the concrete--it still works--the trip was as I like it. Uneventful. :-)

Weather here in Tucson is just about perfect.

Hiya Trée, and welcome to Tucson. $12.50 a day for internet service?! Where in the world are you staying?

BTW - Are you able to access your email?

Trée said...

Deb, I'm at the Westin La Paloma. Thanks to their mistake, I've got access for the week free.

Right now I can receive emails but I cannot send. Don't get me started on why that is the case. Half the time I can connect to my outgoing server and half the time I can't. Gremlins is my only response. :-)

I can be reached on my AIM account or Yahoo (tgeorge_16).

The Westin La Paloma is about a 15 minute drive from us.

If you have any free time, and want some company for lunch, dinner or
sightseeing, etc., just pop us an email!

I sent an email to you Yahoo account, but it came back to me. It could not be delivered.

You can send a message to:

I hope you have a great time, even though it's work. :)

Deb, thanks for the offer. All of our meals are booked and scheduled and it seems every available moment is accounted for. If anything changes, I would love to meet you guys for coffee.

Not sure what is up with the yahoo email, but you can always reach me if need be on the email on this profile.

Yey, access!
Good to know all's well, safe arrival etc.

Thanks Sunshine. The resort here is very beautiful and I have a room all to myself, which is such a added bonus on a road trip like this. Now, if I didn't have that little thing called work, I'd be in heaven. lol

Good luck in the meeting!

What an interesting faux pas the hotel made, but in your favor.

I'm looking forward to the fractals too, although I still like the stories, you've got me hooked on the fractals.

Well Trée, I feel like I've missed a year of everyone's lives. Funny how time can stop like that.
I'm actually glad to see a post about you for a change. I didn't know where I'd start with the story anyway.
(I'm still pulling for Kyra though.)

I hope all goes well with your conference and I hope you're back with us soon. Regardless, 10pm comes every night and that moon is still there to share.

Thinking of your with much love.
Aggie

Hey sweetie, hope you are having a great day and enjoying your sunny 70+ degree weather while some of us our freezing our butts off in the cold and rain :0)
(yes I believe beach withdrawel has kicked in with a vengence LOL)

Trée said...

Trace, the weather here could not be more perfect. I don't think I've even seen a cloud since I've been here. Thinking of you tubey. Stay warm. :-)

Trée said...

Karen, you are oh so right about that. ;-)

Anonymous said...

morning sweetie
hope you have a great day! (hugs)

Anonymous said...

Agree with Trace :-D

Anonymous said...

Ahh, you would NEVER imagine what I walked into at a Las Vegas hotel room close to midnight....

Have a good vacation!

Anonymous said...

That is such an amusing story to hear, but I bet it wasn't so much fun to experience. Still, it put a smile on my face. I wish I could have seen your facial expressions when you entered the room!

Trée said...

Well, seeing her in her robe already in my room was not exactly what I was expecting. I think the bellman was more disconcerted than me. I least I got a week of free internet access out of the situation. :-)
