Margaritaville

So, it's an early bday present from Ms Mario. Arrived yesterday, and well, since it was here, why wait till next week to enjoy--right? :-D

So, we buy all the stuff and start to make our first margarita. I prepare for three drinks, ice loaded, all the stuff too, and then I turn it on. Duh, I forgot to select for three drinks as the default was for one. So I redo with two drinks selected to add more ice. Drinks come out thinner than I like--I do like my frozen margaritas to be ice cone thick. So we slam down these three in order to make more--the right way of course.

Second batch of three drinks is ready. Ice--check; the stuff--check; proper three drink setting--check. Blend drinks and still they are not as thick as I like. So, I pull out the manual and read what I need to do to make them thicker. So, we slam down those three drinks in order to make more--the right way of course.

Third batch of three--perfect! Or at least in the state I was in by that time they certainly seemed perfect---lol! I was a little skeptical that a machine for the home could really do a great job. It does. Will be testing again tonight just to make sure my endorsement still stands.

So tonight, I'll be putting my new found expertise to use. Anyone care to join me? Bring your swimsuit and meet me out back by the pool. Drinks on me tonight. :-)

Deb, always appreciate a woman who shows up early. Tell Wontar he is welcome to come too. And bring all your pics from the trip, especially all those dead trees. I've got a few of those too from my time in Idaho. They do make interesting and wonderful photos.

:-D

Woohoo, pool party, I'm game! Just gonna run home and grab my gear, start mixing, brb..

Trée said...

First batch coming up Sunshine. One piece or two? You know I gotta ask. :-D

Anonymous said...

I told you this before. One. The bottom one :-D
Woohoo, Margaritas all round! btw Best stop me after two, I get a little wild otherwise! ;)

Anonymous said...

so are there enough margarita's for an AWOL friend? :0)

Trée said...

Tube, always room for you my friend. So good to see you again. I'll make yours a double. Just don't tell anyone or they will all expect special treatment. :-D

Trée said...

Sunshine, I believe you did answer that question before. Excellent answer by the way. :-D

Anonymous said...

:0) thanks darlin, what kind of margaritas are we having, just regular frozen or a little more exotic like mango :0)

Trée said...

Funny you should ask. We start with regular frozen made with Xalixco Gold, estate bottled of course and fresh squeezed and filtered orange and lime juice. Second round is mango and for those who must, we also have strawberry margaritas tonight.

What can I start you with my dear?

Anonymous said...

Well my preference is for Mango or Watermelon :0) but I've never met a margarita I didn't like :0)

Trée said...

Oooh, you should have told me about the watermelon before I had my first. Sounds like a drink for two. :-)

Mango it is. Shall I make it a double my dear?

Anonymous said...

Woohoo, hey Louise, so glad you've come to frolic with us :-D

Trée said...

Oh, and Tube, I think Sunshine is leading the way in proper dress for this event. I trust you are comfortable with your twins in this regard.

Anonymous said...

might as well just give me a pitcher and a straw LOL

Anonymous said...

The twins, lol...Tweedledum and Tweedledee. :-)

Trée said...

Consider it done Tube. Is there room for two on your chair? Wouldn't want you to drip anything on the assets. Mango can be a bit sticky if left to dry and we wouldn't want that would we. :-D

Trée said...

LMAO, maybe the twins would like to meet Poppet. Perhaps a proper introduction is in order. We must be good hosts after all.

Anonymous said...

rofl, comments like that are why its 3am and I'm at a pool party :-D I think, they would get on famously, what's not to love about each of them and together, well, there's your ton of fun.

Trée said...

What can I say, your one piece suit got Poppet all excited. The little guy really does want to fit in, wherever he can. :-D

Trée said...

By the way, frolic is a great F* word.

Anonymous said...

'fraid I'm going to have to get my margarita in a to-go cup :0) its time for me to head out and leave you in Autumns very capable (albeit sleepy) hands :0)

Thelma, get some rest at some point would ya :0)

Trée darlin, thanks for the drinks :0)

The little guy really does want to fit in, wherever he can.
aw bless, he's such a sweet, personable little thing, he'd always be welcome at my place :-)

Trée said...

Till next time Tube. Have fun and take care of the twins. I've kinda grown fond of them you know. :-D

Trée said...

Well, I told him about the warm Danish buns at your place. You should have seen him blush and actually start to tremble in anticipation of a visit.

Anonymous said...

Frolic is a great f* word, I like to get as much frolicking in as possible. Life would be a dull affair otherwise.
First up, pour me one of those watermelon margherita's, sounds absolutely delish, and after I vote we go frolic in the pool.

Trace, cutting out early! - You didn't even have time to spill your mango :-)
Talk to you later, xo

Anonymous said...

I do have the best buns, not to hard, not too soft. You should have seen him blush Too precious, I'll have to make sure I take real good care of him.

Trée said...

Poppet is all for the frolic. In fact, he's telling me frolic is his middle name and that he comes from a long line of frolicmasters. :-D

See you in the pool. Watermelon margarita on the way. Prepare for page two. Zing Tao Baby!

Trée said...

I think I just heard Poppet coo. He wants me to put Jose Luis Encinas'
"Guitarra Romantica" on the surround sound. Meet me in the hot tub dear.

Anonymous said...

Ah, he's one of those still-waters-run-deep types, all pretty and sweet on the outside, but full of zest on the inside - best kind, I do like to be surprised.

Trée said...

Did I tell you Poppet was a James fan too. So Long Jimmy is his fave song, although I Really Want You is a very close second. He wanted you to know.

As for surprises, well, poppet has been known to make eyes widen and sparkle in ways never seen before.

Anonymous said...

Sure Poppet and I would get on fabulously. :-)

Hurry up already and come join me, ooh and bring the drinks, I'm getting all steamy here in the hot tub. Warning you though, I'm on my third, so cannot be held accountable for my actions. Love it when that happens. :-)

Trée said...

Inhibition free flow, the natural flow of passion and desire swimming in the stream of here and now, completely absorbed in the task at hand. I like the sound of that. On my way dear, with two watermelon margaritas. Not so sure we need then anymore though. :-D

Anonymous said...

We can always drink them later.
I think perhaps next time you have a margherita/pool party, you need to give more notice. Friday night, where is everyone? ;) Still, more room to move around in the tub when its not so crowded.

Anonymous said...

I like all those little laterns you have burning everywhere, that with the music and the steam and the moonlight and being outdoors, a little piece of paradise. :-)

Trée said...

I kinda like the quiet evening. Besides, the hot tub is really best suited for two. Love the sound of those warm bubbles and feel of those jets gently massaging the stresses of the day away. Of course, your long agile fingers don't hurt either.

Trée said...

The lanterns do add a special eastern flavor to the simplicty of the evening. Seduced by the atmosphere of the evening the company of a special soul. How could it be otherwise. :-)

Anonymous said...

Simplicity, I love that word more and more. :-)
Thank you for a delightful evening, sweet man, its been a real treat. Give poppet my love, xo

Trée said...

Sweet dreams my dear and thanks for staying up so late to entertain me. I've had a lovely evening my dear. Sleep well, cause those bananas foster will, as Tube says, blow your socks off in the morning. :-D

Anonymous said...

Looking forward to it. :-D
Thanks for the wishes and back attcha when you get that far,x

Trée said...

By the way, if you get the chance, listen to some KT Tunstall. She was with James in Atlanta. She is the real deal, and like James, once you see her in concert, her music moves to a whole new level. Really like her album Eye to the Telescope. Hugs and kisses my dear. Poppet sends his well wishes too. :-)

I'm late! Any chance for a mango Margarita or three for little ole me arriving so late for the pool party? I will likely misbehave in the pool so you have been warned! But alas, I'm late, I'm late!

Trée said...

Oliviah, you are never too late to my party. I always have a special place reserved just for you my dear sweet woman. As luck would have it, I have a fresh batch of mango margaritas on the way. Relax and chill, the evening is still young on this side of the pond. Should I put a little NIN on or perhaps Fiona? The turntable is yours sweetie. :-)

Anonymous said...

Oooh! My favorites! Fiona and Margaritas, that sounds heavenly...shall we add a little Sarah Mclachlin as I twirl my toes in the water? ;)) And then, just when the time is right (and the Margaritas have done their trick) a little Enigma would be a lovely way to utterly relax and succumb to the evening.

My, you sure do know how to throw the perfect party. Every single guest is completely under your spell, you magic man!

Trée said...

Oliviah, Sarah is a special soul and I would love to listen to her angelic voice and haunting lyrics. Enigma I'm not familar with so I might need your help with selection. Come see me in my private studio and we can pick the tracks you'd like to hear. :-)

Succumbing to the evening. I like the sound of that. Cold margaritas and warm water have a way of doing that. :-D

Anonymous said...

Margaritas! Mango seems a popular choice here, but any strawberries?

Anonymous said...

Oliviah, I used to listen to a group called Enigma about 15 years ago, excellent stuff, loved them, atmospheric to the point it'd put a person in a trance :), monk quiors (sp?!) and the like intertwined. Same?

Anonymous said...

I'm on my way... just looking for my bikini (It's winter here).

Anonymous said...

Great choice for a gift btw! Beats socks and a sweater any day of the week. :-)

Trée said...

Saffy, yes, I do have the strawberry mix, so I've got you covered. Welcome to the party. :-)

Trée said...

Chicky, all you need is the botton half of that bikini since Autumn has established the dress code. I'll see you at the bar my dear. :-)

Trée said...

Yes Sunshine, I kinda like this present a little better than the standard socks and sweater. Didn't have to think twice about that one. :-D

Anonymous said...

Hey T-What brand and where did you all find it? I want one and was as dubious as you about home models...

:)

J

Trée said...

J, just click on the post title and it will take you to the official site. We bought ours from Frontgate, but in doing research the price is the same almost everywhere. I did find one place that had a discount but I hadn't heard of them.

This mosheen is everything I hoped it would be. Maybe too good, cause now I'm drinking more than I should. :-D

Anonymous said...

Sweet! Gonna wait for the Mrs to get home and see what she thinks... It t'aint cheap though!!!! But maybe thats why it works!

Trée said...

J, I give it my five star rating. Good luck with the Mrs and let me know if you guys get one. The build quality is excellent and it also makes smoothies if that is a selling point for you. :-)

Anonymous said...

I am all about some tequila. It's not ice cream Treé, but it's frozen and it'll make me giggle.

Trée said...

Linny, we'll have the ice cream later. And don't forget the dresscode. If you are not sure, check with Autumn--she is in charge of that department and is doing a splendid job. :-)

Ordered it! WOOT!

We kind of have a little ritual during hurricane season where we indulge in Bellinis prior to any anticipated storm. Since this season is gonna be active we needed something and this will do just fine!

So glad I stopped by today!

;)

Trée said...

Excellent news J! I'm heading to the store to get the watermelon mix so tonight we can have watermelon margaritas. With the temps in the 90s tonight, somehow those sound very refreshing. Besides, the MIL is coming over and I need a little somthin somthin to get me through the experience. :-D

Anonymous said...

Nice! somthin, somthin cracked me up! My mother has been here for 2 weeks and leaves on monday... following the lesson from 2 years ago: Send all visitors home prior to any actual hurricanes arriving since the questions about hurricanes get old fast!

I'm looking forward to my return in 2 weeks and this will be great for the 4th!

Trée said...

Brother, I think we be singing from the same hymnal. :-D

Hard to believe the first tropical depression has formed. Memories from last year are still so fresh in my mind.

Anonymous said...

autumn storms, I think we most definitely are talking about the same group. You described Enigma's music to a T. They did one song that I actually hadn't heard before till recently called "The Return to Innocence". I liked it alot. Enigma has a lot of sexual undertones (and some not so subtle) and almost seductively soothes you to a state of tranquility. (Hope I didn't answer this too late!)

And trée, I think you would really love this music.

Trée said...

Oliviah, I'm going to download a few of their songs. I like the 30 seconds of Return to Innocence on iTunes so I will start there. I love discovering new music or old music that is new to me. Thanks for the heads up. :-)

Are there a couple songs of theirs that you would suggest?

Anonymous said...

trée, It is hard to name a "few"! On their CD's the songs flow one into the other with such a smooth transition. I have 3 of their CD's. Here are some of my favorites: Principles of Lust, Silence Must Be Heard, Sadeness, Smell of Desire, Mea Culpa, Beyond the Invisible, Age of Loneliness, The Cross of Changes...(These all can be found on their greatest hits CD titled Love, Sensuality, Devotion-The Greatest Hits. I got this entire CD as a single download. I hope you enjoy!

Trée said...

Oliviah, I downloaded five of their songs from that album and then I saw that "I Love You...I'll Kill You" is an album only download. In your opinion, how good is this song and is it worth the five dollar premium I would have to pay to get it?

Anonymous said...

Are they still around, Oliviah?? - I've not heard of them since the early 90s.
What I have are a couple of songs I taped (yes, tapes back then :) from the radio and a two others that were on compilation albums at the time (80's mix or something like that). Great stuff!

Trée said...

Ok, I bit the bullet and downloaded the whole greatest hits album so now I have five of those songs twice. I'm such a sucker for music I like. I can see myself listening to this on my long flights to Phoenix. What an eclectic sound. Just different enough from everything else to fasinate. Thanks Oliviah. :-)

Happy belated B-Day, bud'!!!

Just noticed it mentioned at grid.
I was going to say, hope it was grand
but by the looks of the pool area, it was. ;-)

g];,.m90923(&85-u ... Ooops. hehe
Wow, does that margarita mix ever get
the keyboard sticky. ;-)

Trée said...

Thanks Rhody. Been a wonderful day so far and I think it's only going to get better with a few margaritas tonight. :-D
