Find that thought quite comforting rather that frightening, it takes away the competitive aspect of it - there isn't enough time to do it all and so we can just do what we can and accept that is all there is to it.
That's on a good day, on a bad day, it seems to obvious that there is still so much to learn ;-)

I've heard you quote that many times, like it very much. Makes any thoughts of denial trivial and useless. Again, acceptance, may as well, there is no other choice and once again, rather comforting.
Was thinking the other day that if indeed everything is fated and everything works out for the best, anything leading up until the point where one realizes that fact would almost be a form of self-torture, certainly great uneasiness, hardship, frustration.
Peace is right here, right now, or it is nowhere. That's lovely! Reminds me of a quote I've read several times recently about being peaceful in chaotic surroundings.

Oliviah, I have been blessed with many wonderful friends who take a few minutes out of their day to come and share hope and love and compassion with each other here. I'm humbled by the contribution so many make to this blog.
As I think you know, I live for the comments that a post generates. In the comments I find a sense of relationship, a sense of connection with others, and without that connection I would see little point in blogging. To each his or her own I suppose, but I love the interaction within the comments and I love it when other bloggers make a connection and form a friendship with someone else they met here.
I couldn't agree more with your beautiful people insight. So many wonderful souls have found their way here and I've seen so many of them join our cancer fighting team, but more important, I've seen them reach out to those in need, those in pain, those needing a shoulder to lean on. I can't tell you how proud I am to call those folks my friends. They are beautiful people from the inside out--no doubt in my mind.
Oh, and Oliviah, I count you among the most golden hearted of all who come here. I have followed your blog for more than a year and we have had some private correspondence as well, and I can say beyond any shadow of doubt that you are a very, very special soul, filled with beauty yet a soul educated with suffering, and in my mind, suffering has that unique ability to take us to vistas that those who have not suffered will probably never see. I love your words. I come and read them everyday. (Although I don't say much.) You speak and write as if you're writing about your inner balance. Peace IS within you, it's clearly evident in your writings. But love? True love is for all eternity - it follows us through lifetimes.

"no matter where you go, there you are" is one of my favorite lines from Amadaeus (the movie) The emperor utters it in an attempt at depth. Your use here is contextually much more meaningful.

That is perhaps THE question we as humans can ask ourselves freshly every day to keep things in perspective. I call it flying, and when I have flying dreams (not often these days) I know I am fearless and open and loving during flight.

David, that is a great question and I wish I knew the answer. A mentor once told me "it's not what you know, it's what you remember to use." The older I get the more I appreciate that bit of insight. Still, daily reminders of the most fundamental things seems necessary.
