44. Postcards

Precious as jewels, Kyra had kept all her postcards, notes and letters from Papa. Some had come from distance lands and others he had drawn by hand in Valla. The way she guarded them one would have thought they were love letters from her soul mate. Wouldn'’t have been the first time an angry suitor had throw that accusation in her face to disguise the pain from his own delusions.

She often wondered if her expectations, to find a man like Papa, were unrealistic. Had she passed on happiness? Was no one good enough for her? As sure as her Juju birds chirped in the morning, these questions just as frequently bullied their way to the front of her consciousness.

Taking another warm slip of snizzle from her handmade off-white cup, the only way snizzle should and would be pleasured, she allowed the warmth to melt those vague doubts away. No need of a mate if one didn'’t have a world to call home. Perfect food was nice, the Golden Tree didn'’t hurt, but their supplies were limited and time moved on.

Slowly she held each postcard up to her nose, closed her eyes and with a deep breath and a little imagination he was right there. If only Papa was here now, he would know just what to say, just what to do. Spilling her snizzle with a snort, she knew exactly what he would do first. Slap her back into now and out of fantasy poor pitiful me land. Besides, Goldie didn'’t feed the Juju birds, and as beautiful as they sounded, they weren'’t singing for nothing.

George, one fresh brewed snizzle in a handmade off-white cup, not mug, but cup with a slight lip coming right up. I'm going to save the world one snizzle at a time. Snizzle holds the cosmos together, snizzle is the mo in jo, snizzle needs no stinkin' words cause snizzle is, and that's is with a captial I.

Careful, snizzle makes one very reflective and less talkitive. Could be why Kyra was not real big on words. She did love her snizzle.

I think you will too George. :-)

Trace, I aim to please. Good morning dear. Sun is shinny here but I'm still waiting on my Sunshine. Been almost 24 hours. I wonder if something was wrong with that fruitcake I sent her. Call the local hospitals! She might have food poisoning. I think I put that note in with the fruitcake that this was no ordinary fruitcake but had to be eaten in very small portions, otherwise it could make one swoon and wail, and cry unrelenting tears of joy and happiness.

Oh, same program created both cards or images as the case may be. Both took a different post-processing route to achieve the corresponding looks. I take it you likey? The Trace stamp of approval is very important you know. :-D

I'm always tuned in to postcards. Love the "human" emotions evoked by the words and pictures.

The snizzle is a hit in any culture - put it on the market and you'll be a millionaire. It is raining, thunderstorming and whipping winds here today - where is my cup?

Terry, come over here and I will personally serve you all the snizzle you want. May even throw in some snoggling for free. :-)

It's just spooky how you do that!

Slowly she held each postcard up to her nose, closed her eyes and with a deep breath and a little imagination he was right there.
I have a novel that my grandmother was reading before she died. It's wrapped in plastic. Every now and again, I pull it out and put it to my nose...to smell her. It is suddenly as if she is there.
Sense of smell is an amazing sense.

I cannot believe these are fractals. You have no bounds. They look entirely hand drawn.
A-F**KING-MAZING!

Ah, Kyra, take the next step girl! We know you'll do the right thing!

Hey Aggie. I had a ton of fun making these. Both images underwent quite a bit of photoshop work to get the look that they both have. I wanted to try and make them look somewhat like a card someone might give to another.

The bluish image--well you should see it in it's full colors. Just imagine the colors from the Juju bird pic--same thing. I just printed out a copy to frame. Those colors are so uplifting and happy. It's on my desktop as wallpaper too.

Thanks for sharing the moonlight last night. That was nice. And as always, thanks for the very kind words and thanks very much for not tagging me--LMAO. :-D

Thw Winter Scene is beautiful, Tree. Looks like it could be on a Christmas Card. I'm another one who can't believe its just a fractal.

Jack, it's a standard Mandelbrot with a whole lot of zoom involved. Once I had the zoom right and it cropped the way I liked, then it got worked over in Photoshop to get the blue duotone sorta look. I also used Photoshop to give the jagged edge effect. The key to this whole image was the zoom and crop.

I do appreciate your very kind words.
