A, have you seen Hero? This pic is taken from the scene from autumn with the gorgeous golden leaves set against their red outfits. Breathtaking in it's beauty, and I'm not just talking about Maggie--lol.

I watched "The House of Flying Daggers" last night, which reminded me of my infatuation with Maggie. *Big Sigh*

yeah!! finally someone appreciates Maggie.
Tree, you have good taste--anyone who prefers maggie over zhang ziyi has superb taste.
;)

Saffron, I could watch Maggie all day and all night long. A rare beauty with an elegance that must be seen to be understood. With her beauty I understand why men fight wars over women. And I would have been happy to had paid $100 dollars to see her on the silver screen and felt it was worth every penny. Then I would have gotten back in line and bought another ticket for the next show. *Another Big Sigh*

zhang ziyi, saffron, looks like a mere child next to Maggie. Abso-f***ing-lutely no comparison whatsoever. ;-)

I haven't yet.

Lot of thought behind that expression.

Tree, couldn't agree with you more. Maggie is a lot older than zhang ziyi, yet she has that allure and wisdom that comes with being mature.
Plenty of pretty young things around, but most are mere eye-candy. they need time to mature, just like good wine, no?
Abso-f***ingly-lutely no comparison whatsoever.

hey tree,

hero is a beautiful film. maggie cheung looks amazing in it too.

------------------------------

i came across an article this morning, and it was about the dangerous relationship between cycling and moderate erectile dysfuction, based on several studies.

according to the article, a spokesperson for the industry is well aware of that and remarks that a line of new products is on it way. i bet you're well aware of it, too, but i decided to pass it on since it is in the today's new york times. worth checking it out.

i ride a bike to commute every day, but it is only 10-15 minutes one way, it must be nothing to worry about for me... haha.

it's called 'Serious Riders, Your Bicycle Seat May Affect Your Love Life.'

p.s. how's your dog by the way?

Hey Venturous, good to see you stop by again. I've watched Hero twice now, which I rarely do with movies. I think I will buy this one, which again, I've only bought two movies in my whole life, but because of Maggie, Hero is going to be number three. She is just Abso-f***ingly-lutely stunning in this movie.

Thanks for the heads up on that article. I see those arguments all the time in cycling literature. Many of the saddles made today have a groove down the middle to take pressure off those important parts and some saddles have the middle actually cut out. I've kept a close eye out for any relationship between my riding and the working of my equipment. As much as I love to ride, somethings are just a bit more important to me--lol.

So far, I'm happy to report all is as it should be. Now, let's get back to talking about Maggie ;-)

Oh, Venurous, Mario is incredibly looking a tiny little bit better each day. I'm updating the Mario post with "updated comments" as developments unfold. Thanks for asking.

Saffron, welcome to the Fan-f***ing-tastic "Abso-f***ing-lutely!" club as mate #5. We are a small but determined group. ;-)

I agree with everything you said about Maggie and the many zhangesque girls out there. There are women and then there are girls and there ain't no doubt where Maggie stands. ;-)

Trée, I'm so happy to see others who loved Hero as much as I did. That scene with the dry leaves was one of the most magical scenes I've seen. Period.

I do want to say that I love you guys for liking the "older" gal.

I must ask though, what is MNF, FNF, HNF?

Trée said...

Melly, MNF (Monday Night Fliration); FNF (Friday, Night Flirtation); HNT (Half Nekkid Thursday).

I could watch that scene a hundred times. So many themes, such incredible beauty, both nature and human and film making art. And then there is Maggie. What more can be said--lol.

Amazing film and a truly beautiful woman. I just watched an older film with her in it, Heroic Trio.
Kind of corny but did I mention
Maggie was in it? ;-)

Yeah, she's pretty and can act, but would you take her home to Mum? LOL~OK, jealousy talking. I wish I had one of the 2.

Junny, I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. LMAO. My bigger concern is what is the wife gonna think when I bring her home--muhahahahah. ;-)
