Eyes are nice, though undefined in any larger sense, they have a great presence. A chocolate brown depth, creates a swirl of reaction. Strong, that's the most encompassing interpretation that I get. Wonderful, really like it, excellent stuff.
I agree with Ms. Storm, "Easier than in the one below," The eyes are nice, clearer, more expression. I like the crisp lines of the white T-shirt. Stark and clean against the shadow of the neck. Nice contrast. The "bubbles" are a nice touch!
What is it about this story that events seem fated and faces are recognizable...I know that I am not the only one to have said such and thus the reasoning can only be that your descriptions are so powerful, so vivid and bold and clear that you are able to see something in your mind's eye and show it as clearly as had you taken visual evidence, a photograph, a film, and placed it on the page. Cannot know that this is true, not completely, but it certainly appears to be so for why else would I and others feel that way, react that way, to the images that you later share. No coffee yet, hope that made sense. Looking at the image of the Unknowns all at once they are less and more Unknown, the image evokes curiosity, a longing to understand more, to know more, to hear from them again and along with that there is a sense of yes, here is revelation that we have not been privy to until now. Fabulous image, the imagination and creativity that was able to create that is not small, to see it, with your presentation, it's a smiler and it's another reason to love the story. And I know I always talk about reasons, but just as one can look upon a face and feel a flood of love that is overwhelming, so it is with this place, it comes in waves and when the wave is highest, I feel the need for repetition. :-D
p.s. I Saw THREE robins at my parent's new house yesterday! And even though they keep threatening us with more winter, we're all rebelling up here, so twice they've said it's going to snow and it hasn't!! Bwahahaha!
Thanks Deb. There is another program called Art Rage, which is very, very affordable. If you think you might be interested in digital painting Art Rage would not be a bad place to start. Last time I checked, it was about $20.
Wow, that is quite a picture. Hadn't imagined her half-clad but enough to know that she would look amazing. :-D She looks like a warrior princess or a Roman Empress...a Hynerian Commander. Fabulous piece of art!
Love these self-portraits you've done. I wonder, do you find they reveal something interesting in you to yourself that you hadn't noticed before you created the artwork? Not necessarily a physical trait--just a nuance of character, maybe a strength or something only you could see. I wondered because that happens when I do self portraits, none are the same. And some of them look nothing like me when I am finished with them but they are me...just not the me on the outside. Art and the subconcious. I love these self-portraits that you've done. :-)
I liked the last one better.. The colours in this one are very straight forward, if that makes sense. The last one showed a person full of different shades and colours. I think the last one is more you. More complex... xx

O, the only thing I notice when I do a self-portrait, other than that I can't draw, is how big my nostrils are. I've gained weight over the last three years and I notice it in my face too. I see that when I draw. I notice my eyes don't open as wide as I find attractive in others. Really, quite depressing to do a self-portrait. I'll probably do some more since I love the pain. :-D

Elise, thanks for the kind words but this truth is I am a very simple person. I like clean and basic and simple. I wish I was a bit more complex such that I could translate that complexity into the characters in my story but at last I'm afraid they are all about as straightforward and simple as I am.
Trée, I don't see those flaws that you see in yourself. I see the way you smile and your eyebrows move when you talk, all your facial expressions, your laugh and the sound of your voice--when I see your self-portraits, lol. Maybe doing these self-portraits will help you to accept these things you don't care for in your appearance because really, you are quite! fine! just as you are. ;-)
