253. Hospital Jackarse

[Rog walks in to his apartment and finds only Trev]

Rog: Hey Trev, where’s Yul?

Trev: I take it you didn’t get the message?

Rog: What message? (Rog sees the blinking light on his comm)

Trev: That message.

Rog: Shiott, what now?

Trev: Yul collapsed. Thankfully Mairi was here.

Rog: What do you mean collapsed? And where is she now?

Trev: I wasn’t here. Mairi said Yul was just talking away, got faint and passed out. She wasn’t able to revive her, called hospital and they took her away. We tried to call you, but you didn’t answer.

Rog: (grimaces) Yeah, well, I got news too. Mairi was right. Bravo is in a world of hurt. Grab your stuff. Let’s go.

Trev: Where?

Rog: Hospital jackarse. I’ll fill you in on the way.

This image represents the dilemma Rog faces. Stay with Yul or head for Bravo. Options, the choices we have to make--and so too Rog. Enjoy. :-)

Abso*lutely beautiful fractal, such vivid colours, full of light - very striking!

Well, there goes my theory, the one that predicted Rog heading towards Bravo would be a relatively easy decision to make for both him and for Yul. This changes things somewhat, at least with regards to ease.
Completely unexpected was this turn of events. :-)
Very, very nice little chapter, and I like that there may be a 'can't\won't' type situation ahead for Rog as adament as he was that nothing should get in the way of them heading towards B40.

Hope today has been a good day, x

Sunshine, I wasn't expecting this little twist in the story and I'm not sure how it impacts Rog's decision. Expect to see a conversation between Rog and Yul (quickly, since all this is happening very, very fast and there is little time to ponder) where we might learn about Rog's older brother and how this is influencing his thoughts on the dilemma he finds himself in. I think Yul is going to have a lot to say here. Stay tuned. :-)

Older brother? Never knew he had an older brother - learn something new everyday. :-D

Tuned.

I didn't know he did either until two days ago. :-D

Apparently, they had a falling out and Rog stopped talking to him and usually didn't mention him, which is why we've not heard of him yet.

and the best part is You didnt know either?!!

(*_*)

U

Impressive fractals ...but always wonder as to how the story flows out from the image!!

just reading some comment on another post...about your Mom's ill health...hope everything is under control?

Oh my, what beautiful corals!
Tree, I hope I speak only for myself: it's a bad idea to put your fractal upfront because my attention gets stolen away by the fractal and it often forgets to get to the story itself ;)

Hi Uma, my mom is progressing on plan and should come home tomorrow. We are very happy with how the operation went and how she is doing. Thanks for asking.

As for Rog's big brother, I'm still thinking through that one. I know what I want to do, but I'm not sure I want to do it with a "big brother." So until I write it, the big brother is still an idea. Maybe it was an uncle. I kinda like the idea of Rog being the oldest and the relationship he has with Chaz, so the more I think about it, I think it might be an uncle rather than a big brother that helps me move the story forward--stay tuned. :-D

As for the images, well, just call it fault #1, my overactive imagination. :-D

Saffy, I like having problems like that. Thanks for the very kind words on the images. :-D

Great prose! Can't wait for the next installment (nothing new there). Lovely fractal too (as usual). Keep up the amazing work :)

That explains it. :-D

Friday coming up ahead - trust your mom is still on schedule. A very happy day when you get that far, sweet dreams in the mean time as planned. :-)

Thanks Jenni. Can't wait to see what happens next myself. :-)

Sweetest, thanks for asking. I'll know in the next three to four hours if they are going to let her come home today. Keep your fingers crossed. :-)

Hey Tree!

It's been awhile. Sorry I have not kept up. (Been a little busy with my quest to change the world...LOL)

I hope this finds you well and happy my friend.

Take Care, and wish me luck!

Kel, I'm wishing you all the best in your run for office. We need more people of integrity representing us at all levels and I have no doubt you would do a fantastic job of standing up for what you believe in. Wishing you success and happiness. :-)

All crossed up. :-)

Hmmm... does this mean something has come from all the frailing?? Rog is such a great man; with so much on his shoulders, he still goes where his heart is first. *swoon*

Trée said...

Oh Karen, I'm afraid this trip to the hospital doesn't have anything to do with a potential little Rog. :-D

But the frailing has been good of late, I think Rog would agree. :-D

Yul? Great name! I loved him on survivor. I LOVE how you created your own swear words for name calling.."shiot" or something like that. That was clever.

Kahealani, all in the name of fun. :-)

Thanks for the kind words, always appreciated.
