273. Emily

Emily

This is the sketch Em did of Kyra's sister as she imaged she would look (at the moment in the chapter below) if she had lived. Many thanks to my dear Beautiful Soul, aka Oliviah, for allowing me to use her as reference for the likeness of Emily and to include it as part of the story. Many, many thanks my dear sweet friend.

This sketch and painting was done using Corel's Painter 9.5

Many thanks again to my dear Beautiful Soul, Oliviah for the permission to spend so much time with her. It was my pleasure my dear. :-)

And welcome aboard as mate #9 on Team Bravo. So, very, very happy to have you join us. All my love, hugs and kisses. You are indeed an incredibly Beautiful Soul, inside and out. :-)

Well how neat, you made it in color! You couldn't slap the smile off my face! You are indeed quite the artist. And thank you for the welcome on Team Bravo. :) Many, many hugs and smooches to you!

Took me about five tries until I got the sketch where it looked like you. You don't even want to see the first couple attempts. :-D

I was tempted to stop there with just the sketch but, well, I just couldn't leave well enough alone, so you got painted! :-D

tree--- beautiful art! Do you have a site on deviantart.com? if you dont, you should!
Also, thank you for you kind words about my blog. Every woman needs her heart warmed even if we dont like to admit it. Thankyou for doing just that

anonymouse, I was very touched by your writing and I look forward to reading more, both past and future. I don't have a site on deviant, I suppose in part because I create most everything here for the blog story, which is where they have context and meaning, at least for me. I do appreciate the very kind words to suggest such a thing. :-)

Em would have been gorgeous!

Love the eyes especially, the smile within that corresponds to the one given. Some of your best portrait work yet, truly amazing to see how your your skill grows with each sketch. Beautifully done, or to put it another way, you've made Emily as beautiful as Oliviah is. :-)

Sweet dreams, x

Wow... reality meets fiction?

Trée said...

Chicky, I've always been fascinated with where the line is between the two. If you ever find out, please let me know. :-D

Sunshine, as soon as I saw those gorgeous eyes last June of Oliviah, I new she was something very special and I knew I wanted to try and capture that sparkle of life and love and joy and happiness and compassion I see in those beautiful eyes. I'm very thankful she gave me permission to do the painting. My skills are slowly getting better with each sketch. It is fun to go back and look at some of the first ones I posted. I remember how proud I was at the time--LMAO; and now, well, I just kinda shake my head and wonder what I was thinking. :-D

Your love and support, as always, is very, very much appreciated. :-)

:-D
Those were great for someone who hadn't drawn much before - need I remind you of G-pop LOL - what you are doing now however is showing what a master sketch artist you really have become.

Happy day ahead, sweet poppet, x

Dearest Sunshine, if you didn't know how many iterations I go through to get to where we are, I'd be blushing about now. I don't think I have talent, so I make up for that with persistence and determination, a driving force of passion and desire that knows no quit, regardless of handbanging and cries to the contrary. :-D

How is your head by the way? Fully recovered yet? ;-)

Autumn Storm said...

Not sure I will ever recover, quite sure I don't mind. :-)

:-) One of the things I admire most about you is the great enthusiasm you show, enthusiasm and fearlessness. Saw it with the fractals first, the writing second and the artwork third. Always working towards improvement, but it's those other qualities you possess within that gives your work, all of it, that sense of limitlessness.
As they say, and I hope I'm not misquoting, creativity is 1% inspiration and 99% persperation.

You make me wish I could draw, but more than that, you inspire me to keep trying. :-)

So, feel very proud and not a bit embarassed, your final products are awe-inspiring.

Oh my, how do I respond to that other than with humble thanks. I believe very strongly that pride goes before the fall or as an old mentor of mine used to love to say, overconfidence is that feeling you get just before you find out better. :-D

I'm trying to enjoy the process and to see the images and the story as a way to touch joy--and I do like fondling joy as much as I can. So far, she hasn't gotten tired of me, yet. :-D
