There was no title because this pic was not suppose to be published here. Blogger was acting up last night and would not let me post. I forgot to delete this post before I went to bed and it appeared sometime in the middle of the night. Since I have comments, I'll leave it.

This is a drawing of Grandma Kyra in her younger days. Remember, Goldie was modelled by Papa after Grandma. Go look at Goldie again and see if you see some resemblence. You'll have to use your imagination. I won't say yet who drew this picture--it was not Kyra or Papa but it was someone Kyra knew. The story of her relationship with this person and why Kyra is now in possession of many of this person's drawings will be the subject of a future chapter.

The image itself was me playing with my new wacom tablet and Painter. I wasn't trying to create an image for the story, I was just testing out the new stuff. It's a pencil drawing colored with digital watercolor brushes on French watercolor paper.

'Just' us so far, still time to take it out and post it at a later date with the chapter.

Btw, notice the blue eyes. :-)

If I can get lucky with a drawing of Kyra, one close enough to the image in my mind, we might see what our heroine looks like. But don't hold your breath on that one. :-D

Afternoon Sunshine. Since it's been awhile since my last post and it could be another while before the next I think I'll leave it up. Hope you are having a great Friday.

Leigh, got my first tablet about a week ago. I don't know how I ever lived without one. See, you aren't the only gadget geek around. :-D

You had mentioned a week ago or so you might have some new travel plans. Any idea where/when?

Have a great weekend Leigh. :-)

Leigh, my main mosheen is a XPS lappy. I love the space it saves me. I use mine as a DTR. I hook it up to two 20.1" LCD monitors and my 5.1 surround sound 500 watt speakers and I'm in pure geek heaven.

In fact, right now I'm watching the Blunt DVD on one monitor and typing this comment on the other. :-)

Sounds like you are going to have a great time this summer. I have several bikes so if you are in my area and want to go for a ride in the hills of middle Tennessee, just let me know. There are miles and miles of beautiful country miles we could ride and I know them all like the back of my hand.

Hola Sweetness. A Picasso if I ever saw one! I do see the resemblance. Can't wait to find out where those drawings came from.

You're becoming quite the artist with all of your new toys. Lucky us to see the results. :)

Happy St Paddy's day.
Much love to you.

So good to see you Aggie. I do so terribly miss your presense. Happy St Patty's day to you too my dear sweet sexy woman. :-)

The story behind this drawing and many more we might see that Kyra has are nothing short of heartbreaking. I'm reluctant to go there because I just don't know how much my heart can take. It's a good heartache, if that makes any sense.

Jenni, last year I downloaded the trial version of Painter twice. I never got beyond a couple hours with it before I deleted it. Then I got my tablet and the program just comes to life. I'm very excited to have this new tool. :-)
