Maria is out of surgery and the news is mostly good. Some of the lumps were "milkish deposits" and harmless. Some of the other "hundreds" of other deposits under her skin were of less determinable origin, which are being frozen for later investigation if need be. She is alert and looking good. The vet will keep her overnight as a precaution. The symptoms we saw, according to the vet, were probably a false pregnancy. Thanks to everyone for their thoughts and prayers. Very much appreciated.

Tree - I'm so glad - enjoy your time with her. We lost our Pepper today. It's incredibly hard.
Victoria, I am so incredibly sad and sorry for your loss. I lost Maria's father a few years ago and I took the loss harder than anyone seemed to be able to understand. Thoughts and prayers my friend. Sigh.
Yay -- glad to hear!
Me too OB. :-)
That face! I imagine that little lady has claimed a fair share of your heart for her very own. Thank goodness Maria is doing well. I know you must have been so worried.
Enjoy your cuddle time with Maria when she comes home.
Thanks Jen. Gonna be a lonely night without her and I wonder if she is scared and alone tonight too. We pick her up first thing in the morning. I think she will be as happy to see us as we will her. :-)
It's amazing how close people are to their pets. I love my kitty, and if she got ill I'd be so worried. I'm glad your dog is okay. She's adorable! xx
Elise, our dogs (we have four) are like family. Thanks for stopping in. :-)
Am so relieved and happy for you that the surgery went well. I can only imagine how agonizing the last couple of days must have been. Bless her little furry paws, a speedy recovery so that she may be out chasing squirrels again as fast as the others real soon. H
Thanks Sunshine. She seems to be recovering very well. Still sore and walking lightly, but as feisty as ever. Likewise, so very good to have your return. Looking forward to hearing all the details. :-)
