Okay, this is one of those images that simply refuses to translate to blogger clearly. The original image has sharp clean lines. When compressed and uploaded to blogger, and I've tried four different options, those clean lines just fuzz out. If I didn't feel this was the image to take the crew out of the vortex it would have stayed on the cutting room floor.
Have you tried uploading it to flickr and then linking from flickr to blogger? That might work better and avoid the compression problem. The downside of using flickr is that it means having yet another account / password / url to remember.
Am anxiously waiting to see what happens when they wake up "sleeping beauty".
Jenni, I haven't tried the Flickr option. In the last five months I've only had this fuzzy problem on two or three images and this was the first one that I really wanted to be part of the story. I actually have a Flickr account that I haven't used in ages. I might give that a try and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion and best of luck in school this week.
LMAO, Oh well, Flickr is not an option since this file, uncompressed is 5.5MB and the limit for the non-pro account is 5. Mmm, trust me--the image looks great uncompressed LOL.
Jenni, thanks for the suggestion. All the best to you this week.
It still doesn't look bad. I'm imagining that the planet has a blue force field around (kinda like a man-made ozone layer) and that once in awhile when the constellations are right, the layer is opened a bit so people can see the sky in all its glory.
Very appropriate interpretation Chicky considering I had my annual eye exam this morning. I had my first Octomap image, or something like that done. No more dilating of the eyes, plus you get a very cool image of your eye.
Thanks Tube. I have no fricken idea where this story goes from here. Perhaps on ice for awhile. I need to let the story come back to me and flow rather than try and force it. Perhaps a little break will be a good thing.
Thanks Jack. I kinda like your view of this one. This image is starting to remind me of those little finger things, you know, the ones you put a finger in each side and if you tried to pull your finger out it just tightened up and wouldn't let you do it. :-)
Thanks Karen. I wasn't completely happy with how this one turned out once compressed and uploaded, but then again I need to not take myself too seriously. That's not what this blog is for. :-)
Thanks Deb. I'm at a disadvantage since I've seen these images in all their original glory. This is a good lesson for me to take myself and these images a little less seriously. :-)

I believe you, of course I do, but to us who never saw the more perfect version, this one looks pretty darn good!
Happy Sunday, xo
Awww, thank you my dear sweet one. :-)

Keshi, it took me about five readings to figure out what you were saying--lol. Thanks mate. :-)

Trée, I think this is a really cool image despite the 'fuzz'. I really didn't notice that. It looks fine as is :-).
