116. Into the Vortex
“Rog, thank Janus you’re here,” said Yul. “This vortex, or whatever it is, is sucking us right into it.”
Rog stared out the main window. The view intoxicated as much as the snoot in his system and he felt himself transfixed at the incredible beauty and power of nature.
“Rog! Did you hear me?” shouted Yul. “Snap out of it.” Rog instinctively ducked, still smarting from the blow from Von.
“I hear you darlin’. Full reverse.”
“Already tried that. It’s still pulling us in.”
“Full auxiliary then, redline if you have to with blast shields in retro.”
“Rog, I don’t think you are listening. We’ve done that. It ain’t working darlin’.
“Okay, okay, I’m open for suggestions.”
“We were kinda hoping you had a few,” interjected Emy.
Rog looked at Emy and back to Yul. “Sound the general alarm and strap in and I hope no one is wearing new underwear today. Oh, and buzz Von, I think we are all gonna need a little of his private reserve.”

Oh, and before anyone asks, I have absolutely no idea whatsoever what or how this vortex impacts the story. I was no more expecting it to appear than Rog. But its here now so I'll have to deal with it about the same time as the crew.
Darn T, another perfectly matched fractal or chapter to the fractal as the case may be.
Von's ignoring that alarm on top of everything else. Cue cliffhangar music! Perfect is it appears the word of the hour, perfect cliffhangar, absolute edge of seat stuff.
Great stuff!!! - you are spoiling us today, please do feel free to do so at any time :-)
Have to say, I'm amazed once again at how you are able to tie it all to seamlessly together, it really does come across as being planned and created in every way, such a smart cookie! Beauty and brains - devastating combination :-D
Oh you make me laugh. As soon as I saw this image I knew they had to go into it. I might need to read Alice in Wonderland again. Perhaps they are heading into tormented space or another part of the universe. Who knows what strange creatures lurk on the other side. :-)
:-) The possibilities are endless - as far as the imagination will stretch, which in your case really is without limitation so it would seem!
I think we need some new aliens in the story. Maybe an old nemesis of Von's. Now that would be interesting--someone to push his buttons and challenge him. :-D
good going..
Keshi.
Hello my dear sweet angel with dark hair and a brilliant wit with no peer. How bees you? :-)
This is as amazing as ever. Its a good thing you keep coming up with these great twists and turns to feed our addiction :)
Thanks Jenni. I just hope I can figure out what happens next since going into a vortex is a major development. :-)
What the heck is a vortex anyway? ;-)
I need to figure out a way to type the cliffhanger music I hear in my head into words LOL
excellent as always m'dear :0)
I take a few days off to do homework and missed a lot! The mountain fracs are gorgeous and today's vortex, I could get lost in... it pulls me right in.
I'm interested in how you'll tie it all together.
Have a good day! *HUGS* to you and Jack ;-)
Tube, find that music you are talking about and post it so I can hear what you are hearing. As always, thanks for the kind words. :-)
Karen, I'm just as interested as you are since I have no idea what this whole vortex thing means. I thought you might like the mountains so it pleases me that you did. A warm hello from Jack and I. :-)
Damn, damn, damn......I fell behind again - story of my life! Ok, caught up again and am very intrigued and amazed, as always. Good work (work as in craft not job - which I am hopelessly falling behind at :))
take care
Hey Meg, good to see you again and don't worry about falling behind, I think everyone is. :-D
