713. morning sketches

Dawn rose to breath and touch and soft cotton sheets warmed in the night. Flesh sought flesh, vines twining fruited limbs, of the hoarfrost whispers on the open plain, of a caravan of fingers wandering the desert. What was closed, opened, and what was open, closed. And where there were two, but one could be seen. And in the embrace, but one known, to the two. As the fish knows the river, as the bird the sky, as a child but joy.

Sigh! Em and Trev just "fit"! As two puzzle pieces in a 1000 piece puzzle that have finally been put together. But, hey, I'm no good with metaphors. Yours just flow from the tongue from the heart into the ear, or is that jumbled...Ughhh, Em and Trev always get me so flustered!!!

Evocative and lovely.
(Since you began writing, these two words have become so much more familiar to me, in layers of definition, in my more frequent use of them.)Reading, I rejoice at what these two share, to know - and I realize now I did not comment fully upon the chapter of perfect imperfection (apologies if I misquoted) - the pureness. I love, how with Trev and Em, you've taken them on a journey, shaken them to the core, which in turn allowed them, eventually, to be together as they now are. Evocative, for though the happiness if for them, there are echoes of longing to know it for oneself, not the chapter but a connection such like this one, as shown through a vast number of chapters, in short, your writing touches the heart as it always does, every sentiment, whatever it may be, with an intensity born from the writing much more than the subject. "Dawn rose to breath(...)" I love this phrasing, awed by this phrasing.
The image, soft, interwoven, perfect in itself, perfect for the chapter.

this is simply beautiful... it reads almost like an incantation... a magical celebration of life, of joy...
