I love love love this one. It looks like a mosaic - I'm such a fanatic about stone and tile art. Awesome - and it is so great that you put in the links for us whose memories (alzheimer bound) need help :-D Great post T.
Oh no...for some reason I can't see all the images. This is the second blog I have looked at where the images didn't show. Do you suppose it is because I am not using the beta? (fret..fret...fret...)
Bean, that was Lil' Zeke's Pampus (the Hynerian equalivant to our dog or there abouts). They both loved the ocean and were seldom apart. Zeke's long walk on the beach, under the circumstances, brought back many, many memories from the family retreat at Valla. This memory from his childhood was just one of them.
Deb, truth be known, I did a super fast speed painting and just didn't have the heart or time to fix it, so I used the mosaic filter in Photoshop to cover up the butch job I did. That is actually looks good is just pure bonus. :-D
Oliviah, I just knew you would like this one. So much love in this image as represented by the arm over the back and both looking in the same direction. A boy and his pampus and the beach. What more does a young hynerian need? :-D
Oh Ter, I had no idea you loved mosaics. This is actually only the second time, out of 207 images in the story that I have used a mosaic. Now don't hold me to that. I've been known to be wrong before. :-D
Why Betty, I didn't expect to see you up so early. Come grab a seat in the kitchen and let me rub the sleep from your shoulders. My hands are almost unnaturally warm, toasty so I'm told and a certain healing effect when used with concentration and purposeful application. A little jelly for your toast? :-)
Early to bed, early to rise. Lovely, thank you dear Al, I wouldn't ever say no to a toasty-handed shoulder rub in the kitchen and a little jelly for my toast. :-D I'll make you the perfect cup of cocoa and tuck you in in return.
He never forgot the peace, friendship, and joy, the inner confidence that somehow grew from days that he walked and kept watch on the waves sharing secret dreams in the company of his pampus. To this day, he fixes that as the seed from which his decency and humanity grew, as do all who observed the boy and his wise friend facing the sea breeze together.
Thanks Steve. I've been pleasantly surprised at the reception this image has gotten. Somewhere in my mind I still think that the longer it takes the more it will be liked; yet, this image took less time than anything I've done of late. Note to self: no one cares how long a piece of work takes. :-)

How's your day been?
Ahh...now I can see them! No idea what was up with that. Whew!
And this one is fantastic! I love how you did this!
The mosaic effect really enhances this wonderful image.
Who is little Zeke's friend? Looks just like my best mate when I was a kid :)

Wonderful image, so full of love. :-) Perfect for young Zeke, and the mosaic effect looks great, such a nice touch.
Sweet dreams, Al, x

Liz, I think we need a pampus to sit next to the leather chair in front of the fireplace. I kinda like this one Lil' Zeke had. :-)
Morning poppet, hope you're having a good one. :-)
Afternoon Sunshine. :-)
