Von has a good memory. Helps me with this images. He says they are branded into the far reaches of his mind. Still has nightmares. Beauty and danger, running parallel in the story. Oooooh. :-)

Sometimes the picture post speak for themselves, no need for written words. Good job at keeping all our senses alert in your post.

If you must know, croissants.
Plain and freshly baked.

Have a great weekend, let me know when you all are up for another BBQ.

What 3D apps are you using? Vue? Bryce? Terragen? Terragen is a lot more difficult to use than Vue or Bryce, but the atmosphere gets very realistic.
Great renders :D

My, my!!! I thought these were photographs at first glance. Amazing stuff you create. Your work is so inspiring. *tosses you an enthusiastic hug*

Oliviah, I could say the exact same thing about your work. And I'll take that hug. :-)

Hope and trust you are doing well sweetie.

Christa, I finally broke down and downloaded Terragen last night and these are some of the first renders I did. The interface is not nearly as friendly as Vue but the photographic quality of the renders is nothing short of magnificent. Thanks for the kind words. :-)

Thanks Meg. Sounds delicious, all of it. :-)

BBQ, mmm, I think I'm always up for a BBQ. :-D

The kind words are much appreciated. Have a great weekend sweetie. :-)

Thanks Jenni. These were done with Terragen, which really does a fantastic job on photorealistic renders. Have a great weekend. :-)

Terragen is a brilliant 3D software once you've got the hand of it, but you're right. The interface looks nothing like Vue or Bryce or any of the others.
The real difference between them however is how they act. Since I'm always most interested in the atmosphere in a landscape generator, that's also what I look at first, and Terragen is the only one I've found so far where everything in the atmosphere settings are connected the way they are in nature.
That's why it is so tricky to use once you've began to fiddle with the settings and create your own atmospheres.

I don't know if you have the trial version or the full version, but the full version is amazing. The render engine is a tad slow, but that goes for most of them.
Hope to see more renders from this apps :D

Christa, I have the trial version. The more I play with Terragen the more I think I will probably upgrade. The next version is due sometime this year--version 2 and the samples I have seen just blow you away.

No worries, I think you will, in time, see some more images here using Terragen. It might help if I actually read the tutorals. :-D

Turotials? @c@ What's that? LOL
Yeah...I'm sure they can be helpful. Instructions and tutorials usually goes out the window here ;) There's no patience for that sorta stuff :p

Good luck. Looking forward to see the result :)

LMAO, Christa, I know the feeling. Like a kid with a box of crayons, I just want to get in there and play. Tutorials are like class and I much prefer recess. :-D
