The Survivor Movie: Why We Joined this Fight.

Posted by Hello

Roger & Kathy Cawthon, diagnosed with cancer within six weeks of each other, and following more than a year of aggressive cancer treatments, this dynamic husband-and-wife team celebrated their survival by completing the grueling 26.2-mile Marine Corps Marathon. The life-altering series of experiences is the platform from which they launched The Cancer Crusade.

A short movie from their website:

A slide show of hope set to the music of Pachelbel's Kanon.

For those of us that are cancer free, a reminder to be grateful for the blessings in our lives. And, a reminder why we have joined this fight.

One in four of us will fight this disease. For us, we are doing our best to patch the whole in the roof before it rains. For those whose lives have been hit by thunderstorms and are too weak to patch their own, we give hope and comfort with every hammer blow of a work unit returned to the scientists at Oxford.

Your neighbor needs your help. Stop staring out the window and get over here and pitch in. Your house could be next.

Please consider joining our dedicated international team. Everyone, friends and vistors alike, are welcomed and encouraged to join. See my banner on how.
