I plan on writing this chapter after I recover from trying to draw and paint Kieran. :-D
There is a zoomed version on Trebuchet. If you click on the Trebuchet version you can see some of the detail in the eyes, which has been something I've been trying to do. Not quite there, but I'm getting better. Once I figure out the eyes, then the nose is next and then the lips. :-)
Deb, I feel the same way. Having a visual of the characters and the scenes brings the story to life. Takes a lot longer to do one of these paintings than any of the other software I've been working with from Vue to Apo, but I think seeing the characters adds a very missing element.
As always, thanks for your kind words. I'm learning as I go with Painter. With a little inspiration, I look upward and hope, I'll get this chapter written sooner rather than later. I feel this one is a little more significant and that is causing me to hesitate on putting pen to paper. Times like this I just need to slap myself and remember the most important part of writing this story--just have fun. When I'm just having fun I tend to write the best. When I take myself and the story too serious, the chapters suffer. Fun, fun, fun--keyword for today. :-D
Thanks Y. Got to start somewhere. May the rays of joy shine down upon you today, warming your skin for the cool crisp breezes of the night to come. :-)
Well, I did say I was learning--LMAO! This painting is suppose to be Kieran, a male. No worries, first time Ms Mario saw this one she said the same thing, commenting that the woman didn't have much in the chest department. :-D
I'll get better--promise. :-)
I do appreciate the kind words Leigh. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend across the pond.
ohmygosh :-D Once again, I wish I had some skill in this department, so that I could say something worthy - first thoughts, bold and beautiful, two such deep rich colours, contrasting and complimenting simultaneously, it's quite a sight! So this is Kieran, it's nice to finally put a face to the name, quite mysterious though he still seems half hidden like that. Rushing over to Trebuchet to see the other version. ooh, and Happy Sunday :-)
Oh my dearest sweetest, so good to see you today. I like the thought of the "regal" nose, think I'll adopt that position on Kieran. :-D
Haven't written the chapter because now that the "spirit" of Kieran has come back, I'm not exactly sure what he wants or why he is back. :-D You'll find out about the same time that I do. ;-)
As always my sweetest, your kind and supportive words are deeply appreciated.
Always knew that couldn't be the end of Kieran :-) Kyra, afterall, had quite a story to tell, though she didn't seem to finish the story she was telling the reporter back in the day...I wonder why :-) What does he want and why is he back - exciting stuff and that's putting it mildly - or maybe that question could be rephrased: what does Kyra need to learn and why. Ooh! Just as excited as you to find out :-D Do hurry.
Dearest Sunshine, my plans from the very beginning was for Kieran to "live on" from a higher plane of existence, to be someone Kyra could interact with from time to time and to give the story another dimension, no pun intended.
I had meant to bring him back much sooner, almost as soon as he died, but I'm not sure why I didn't. Since we know very little about him, this also gives me another character to develop. Exciting times. :-D
I really like the red background with all the wavy lines, goes well with his green cloak (is he a Martian monk?). In close up, his eyes look kind of sinister - maybe thats what they felt?
Ever seen an image that has somehow captivated you but can't think of something to say? This is one of those moments. I thought I'd tell you instead of leaving without a comment :).
Thanks Jack. With the wavey lines I was hoping to somehow convey the sense of a being from another dimension moving through time and space. Martian? I'll have to ask. :-D
Chicky, I know exactly how you feel. Sometimes I visit a person's blog, they have a very nice post that I enjoy, but for the life of me I can't think of anything to say and I hate leaving just a "nice post" kinda comment, especially when it appears someone put a lot of work into their post. Yet, you still want to acknowledge the post somehow. Many of your postings of late have been that way for me. I read them, think they are brilliant, but just don't quite know what to say in the form of a comment. Maybe we need a special code when that happens. :-D
I'm all caught up again. It's so remarkable where you've come to both with the story and your painting. I can see the work and worry turning in to art and beauty. It's a cookie for my soul.
Liz, I've been waiting for you to catch up. Very important since you have the cookies. :-D
"A cookie for the soul." Now that is the way for me to end the night. Thank you my friend for being so kind to me. I just discovered tonight I'm a SOB! :-)
So many blessings. Thank you again my dear sweet wonderful friend. :-)
Alex, I don't think you have anything to worry about. I've seen your writing.
I do appreciate the flattery. Makes me want to throw myself into the mud like a pig on a warm summer day and just roll around and around in the luxury of it all. :-D
Dearest sweetest, so good to wake up and know that you've been by. I like starting my day with a smile. You have to find a computer with sound so you can listen to BMG performing I Feel Love with Venus Hum (the video on Aggie's site).
Venus Hum is a local group and they are playing at the Mercy Lounge on the 25th of this month. Bought tickets yesterday. I can't wait to see her smile in person and up close.
Also on the music front, Blunt's DVD makes its North American debut today so now I'll be able to watch in on my TV and not just my computer. :-D
He also released his Fall NA dates a couple weeks ago. Sadly, Nashville didn't make the list. Looks like he will be playing in larger venues this go around. Lousiville is on the list and that is about 3 hours away. Mmm, we'll have to see about that one. :-)
Will listen to that video asap - sure do miss having my own machine!!
Ah, James! Think of him even more fondly these days :-), not sure there isn't a day that goes by when I don't wish it were July 1st again, or at least that I had a future date all lined up. Next time, I'm booking well in advance and not just one show either. Just once is never enough :-)
3 hours, you'll do that, I'll be jealous and you'll come home and tell me all about it. That's our system, sweetie, you can't change that now :-D
BTW I bought the Bob Dylan Tribute album just after I came over and was well pleased with the full version. Just lovely! Still aim to have that chat one of these days about the concert here, memories are still as fresh. :-)
Keep those memories fresh sweetest. I'm not letting you off the hook just because a little time has passed. We will have a full and detailed discussion. :-D
By the way, I bought the US version of the DVD so that I could watch the concert on my TV. Nice to see it a little larger. :-)
If you get a chance to listen to some Venus Hum, give "Wordless May" a listen. The lyrics are not all that, but the way she sings "If there were fields ..." that bit, reminds me of you and what I would like to sing to you. But like most songs, you've got to listen to the nuances and inflection to get the full emotional punch. Take care sweetest.
Noted, will be listening to the song as soon as I can. Gotta run this minute, closing up here. Sweet dreams when you get that far (yes, I know it's only afternoon there, but I miss saying that each night :-) Later, x

Nice red brushstrokes. Interesting face - inscrutable though. Not fair - you just wrote a whole chapter using only 6 words.

This feels good. Not sure where the story is heading but it just feels so good.
brilliant as always bbb. :)
oh, i've moved. i think you can get to the new address from my profile?
Oliviah, I hope so. :-)
New name, new address. Has someone been naughty? :-D
Just teasing bbb. Thanks for the kind words and for the update. Have a great weekend. :-)
Very nice Trée, the drawings add so much to the story.
...still hanging on every word.

I've just been reading all I've missed. Incredible painting and I like the story, well done!
Have a great weekend and *HUGS* to you and Jack ;-)
I love clicking this link. It's like opening the door to the candy store.
Always a tasty visual treat awaiting...
Thanks Karen. :-)
I hope the news is good on your front. Been thinking about you the last few days. Jack too. :-D
Kel, always good to have you stop by. Bring some of those cookies next time. :-)
Thanks for the kind words.
Lovely painting T!! I love the red and green together... ;-D
Thanks Y. Got to start somewhere. May the rays of joy shine down upon you today, warming your skin for the cool crisp breezes of the night to come. :-)
WOW! She looks like a Jedi knight!
Very cool. It's about time we had some female Jedi somewhere in this universe! ;-)

Forgive me.
And um, we still do need female Jedi in the universe *wink*
Thanks for the good wishes. Hope you got out on your bike!
Leigh, I'm all for more female Jedi in the universe. :-)

Wanna see my latest pics taken from my fone? Check out my post..hehehe.

That is nice. The colors are so rich.
Thanks Durante Vita. Hope to see you stop by again. Kind words are always appreciated here. :-)
There has to be a secret code other than "nice post/nice image"! :)
Morning my sweet, wishing you a wonderful day ahead.
Visual and verbal, I'll have to retire soon if you keep this up. ;-)
