I Really Want You

Sunshine, you had me at CNN. The red in the image is my heart. Since that post from long ago I've felt you have had a hold on my heart, gently pulling me in, like no other. You are going to have the time of your life in about 48 hours or so. I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for you! This is the song I want you to be prepared to hear ( I pray he actually plays it--lol). I think it will be his hit on album two.

I Really Want You

I really want you, I really want you

Many prophets preach on bended knee.
Many clerics wasted wine.
Do the bloodied sheets on those cobbled streets mean
I have wasted time?
Are there silver shores of paradise?
Can I come in from the cold?
I killed a man in a faraway land,
My enemy I'm told.

(chorus)
I really want you to really want me,
But I really don't know if you can do that.
I know you want to know what's right,
But I know its so hard for you to do that.
And time's running out, as often it does,
and often dictates that you can't do that,
But fate can't break this feeling inside,
That's burning up through my veins.

I really want you, I really want you.
I really want you, now.
No matter what I say or do,
The message isn't getting through,
And you're listening to the sound,
Of my breaking heart.

I really want you, I really want you

Is a poor man rich in solitude,
Or does Mother Earth complain?
Did the beggar pray for a sunny day,
But lady luck for rain?
They say a million people bow and scrape,
To an effigy of gold.
I saw life begin and the ship we're in and,
History unfold.

(chorus)

No matter what I say or do
The message isn't getting through
And you're listening to the sound
Of my breaking heart

I really want you (repeat to end)

Mmmm, I do like this song...! Lovely sweetheart... ;-)

Y, wait till you hear it sung by James. The words just don't do justice to his voice with these lyrics. I would gladly pay 10 times the going rate to have this single now. The chorus, in particular, as sung my him, is very powerful. How he gets such power and emotion from such simple lyrics is beyond me.

I've got the red ready. Have you got the black?

Anonymous said...

Oh sweetie! Absolutely... You know how I love to pleasure. ;-)

Trée said...

Wicked, if I might steal one of your words. I can see it now. Do you like leather darlin'?

Anonymous said...

Ha! Sure baby, now look who's being wicked!! I do love your one track mind... ;-)

Trée said...

Y, I do believe in finding one thing and becoming very, very good at that one thing. Perhaps one day I'll be able to share with you, on a deeply personal level, exactly what that one thing is. If you have some black leather to go with the black other things, that would be good. :-D

such a great song, he did it solo with just the guitar when he was here, it was awesome.

hope all is well in your world (hugs)

Great fractal! I have a "thing" for spirals that has now been satisfied :)

Trée said...

Thanks Jenni. I've got a few more spirals in the hanger since I dusted off my spiral scripts. Been awhile since I've done any and I must say, I've got a thing for them too. :-)

Oh Treé now this is just getting out of hand. Now you're just being cheeky! :o) People are going to start talking soon...

Trée said...

Linny, people have been taking for a long time. It's what people do. ;-)

As Lisa, aka Music woman, likes to say, there are no secrets on the blogoshpere. "Cheeky," now there's a word I haven't heard in a long, long time. :-D

They say at age 20, we worry about what everyone thinks about us.

At age 40, they say, we don't care what everyone thinks about us.

And at age 60, the story goes, we realize no one was ever really thinking about us to begin with. :-D

I think I'm somewhere between the 40 and 60 right now, probably not quite half way. :-D

Good morning to my friend at Tuck and Hinton architects in Nashville. Thanks for visiting. Comments are very welcomed and encouraged here. If you need help in how this works feel free to drop me an email, which is located on my profile. You don't have to have a blog to be able to leave comments. I know blogger tries to get you to sign up for one, but you can simply skip that step. I do allow Anon comments, so you can always say hello by that means if you like. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for the faithful and loyal vistiting. :-)

Ahhh, The Golden Mean...One of my very favorite things.

"Geometry has two great treasures: one is the theorem of Pythagoras; the other, the division of a line into extreme and mean ratio. The first we may compare to a measure of gold; the second we may name a precious jewel."

-- Johannes Kepler [1571-1630]

I like the way you have taken the Divine Proportion, applied it to modern computer art, fused it with musical lyrics, and conneted it to the ultimate emotion, spreading the energy ever outward to all of us.

Genius, O' humble man.

Trée said...

LMAO, "smitten", another great word I haven't heard in ages. Must be something in the water today. :-D

I plead guilty. I've been smitten with James for months now and I refuse to apologize for it! :-D

As for my Sunshine, well, I would say the feeling goes beyond smitten. :-)

As always, great to see you stopping by Meg. How are the idiots doing today? ;-)

Kel, you humble me in so many ways I don't think there is enough time in the day to list them all. You are a treasure in the blogosphere and I hope more people discover your incredibly insightful, thoughtful, funny and inspiring blog.

As for your comments, I try very hard not to put conscious thought into my postings but rather allow the passion of the moment to speak. My eyes, ears and fingers witness something beyond me, and we are glad to bring these "things" to a visual plane for others to enjoy. I feel I'm as much a voyeur on my own blog and the posts that seem to appear here as much as any of my delightful visitors.

Thanks for sending a ray of sunshine, a ray of warmth my way today Kel. The pleasure is all mine. :-)

By the way, your comments remind me of something I think of quite often:

Do we really own anything? Can we really call anything ours? Do we really create anything? Or, perhaps just maybe, we manifest and/or allow to flow through our temporal self a greater force? I have thoughts, but do I originate them? Think about it. Do you originate a single thought? Or do they flow and we only guide them after they manifest?

This line of thought humbles me and keeps me grounded. Oh, and if I don't own anything, why do I horde so much? Why do I covet what was never mine and never will be mine? Do I miss the flow because I stand outside of it? Do I miss life because my ego is too busy taking credit for what was never mine to begin with?

I want to swim in that flow, I want to swim in Love, with the greater current. In the mood for a dip? :-)

So tell me darlin, what is the 'one thing' that you are good at?! ;-)

Trée said...

Anticipation my dear. If I told you, I would ruin the anticipation. :-D

Anonymous said...

LOL...You're such a tease T... I love it!! HA, I have a big tease for you...Come and listen...

Trée said...

On my way. :-)

Trée said...

Hey Y, are you sure you didn't get those last two words in the wrong order? :-)

The image reminds me of a beautiful shell on a sandy beach.

Trée said...

Ahh, to find such a shell, I would gladly put it to my ear to hear the whispers of wisdom from such a traveller. Of course, looking for shells is a lot more fun with a partner who has the right attitude. :-D

Uh. Huh?
Am I so outta the loop?

Saffy, have you not heard of James Blunt? ;-) Not a bad track on his first album, in fact my favorite tracks have not been released as singles and so if you've never listened to the album you will have never heard them. If I had to pick two I would say "Cry" and "So Long Jimmy."

Sunshine is going to see him in concert tomorrow. We've been waiting a long time for her to have this experience and I can't wait to get her feedback. Have a great weekend. :-)

I've literally about 2 minutes before I have to leave, but I just had to pop by your place before going and saw this sweetest post and beautiful fractal.
You know I adore you, I've told you often enough.:-)
Sorry for not commenting yet on the one above
& again, sorry, you posted such a lovely post and I have to rush off without leaving the spiel that is in my heart and dying to come out. :-)
Love and hugs, xoxo
I'll be thinking of you tonight!

Sunshine, I can't wait to hear how it goes. I've been following the reviews of his tour this week in England and it seems James and the band are in rare form. I think you are going to be in for a special treat. Hugs and kisses my dear sweetest of the sweet ones. :-)

Trée said...

Ahhh, much relieved to learn they did play I Really Want You tonight. :-)

Anonymous said...

Yes they did and I definitely liked it!!! Need desperately to listen to it again asap, have a feeling it will get deep under my skin :-)

Thank you again sweetest heart for this post, the fractal is so very lovely, just beautiful!

Still rushing on comments, its late here (cafe closes at 22.30)and I wanted to have a quick look around everyone today, make sure they are all okay etc

Trée said...

Sunshine, thanks for reporting in. Your review was simply fan*tastic! I look forward to discussing for days every detail of the concert and your reactions. I too had the same reaction to I Really Want You, which was, ohhh, what is he singing, this is new, what are the words, do I like it or not. Took awhile and I had to hear it again before I knew this was going to be a special song on album two.

Hope your dad is doing okay. Have a great day with Terry and George tomorrow and say hello to them for me. :-)

Oh, I must hear these songs now! I've never heard of James Blunt but by golly, I am gonna hunt his music down.

BTW, I love how you call autumn "Sunshine". Every time you speak of your sunshine I have to smile. It's one of the things I call my daughter and I love to sing to her, "You are my sunshine..." and the most beautiful thing (besides her) is that she knows that she is loved.

Trée said...

Oliviah, you simply must buy James' album Back to Bedlam. There is not a bad track on it--and I really mean that--I love every single song and have listened to them all more than I would like to admit. All his stuff is on iTunes too if you want to give it a listen. "Cry" is my absolute fave with "So Long Jimmy" a close second. But then again, I think most of the songs are what I would call a close second or third. Not a song on the album I would put in the fourth spot--they are all just too good. Let me know what you think after you give a listen to a few. :-)

Autumn brightens every room she enters so I couldn't think of anything else to call her but Sunshine. Well, that and she makes me warm all over too. :-)
