Apophysis: Angels

33 comments:

  1. Inspired by an angelic visit on Friday. See "Small Town" post. Thanks to Christa for sparking the idea. I do believe in angels and on Friday, two of them visited our house. :-)

  2. Stunning!! (love that blue colour)

Angels on earth, I've met a few along the way, a real blessing.

  3. Thanks A. Sometimes I think they show up just exactly when we need them, but I like to think they're floating around all the time. The guardian angel concept was always one I liked as a child. Still like it today too! lol

  4. Autumn said it! STUNNING! Very very nice.
I'm going to finish my rounds and then I'm off to create a masterpiece of my own.

  5. That is beyond beautiful, and having the angels come by and all they did for your family is amazing as well. May Mario rest in peace, I'm sorry for your loss. *HUGS* He sounds like a special little guy and a large part of your family.

  6. Aggie, thanks for those very kind words. I have no doubt you will master this program and produce works of art worthy of the finest museums.

  7. Karen, Mario was a one-of-a-kind dog. Never seen one like him before and I doubt there will be another in my life like him. I can't really find the words to convey the chrisma this little guy had but whenever he walked into the room, he was the absolute center of attention. I've never known a dog that had that ability.

Thanks for the hugs, I'll take as many as you want to give--have you got a hugging banana? Must look on next visit--lol.

  8. Trée--Downloaded the software, now how do I make pretty pictures? :o)

Got the software...In need of hardware and experience. Can you show me how? (hehe)

    Hope that made you smile!

  9. This is sooo beautiful....and yes, I agree about angels too. I think we all have our own guardian angel or two who is looking after us in their own way.

k, you've been taking some private tutoring I see. I'm very impressed with how quickly you are progressing. We are gonna have some fun on that eight-hour flight to Denmark. ;-)

Yes, I think I might have the hardware you need. Just make sure the kids are in bed, this sort of training requires your undivided attention in order to bring the lesson to a satisfactory conclusion. Hang tight, I coming . . . over. ;-)

  11. Christa, as always I appreciate your kind words and opinion. :-)

  12. Oh goodie, I am sitting by the door in anticipation of your arrival!

Seriously, sweetie, how do you make those look so good? Mine have all been just blobs.

  13. sweetbabyk, I just love typing that name, I'm on my way over with the proper hardware to interface with your current software. You'll be squealing like a pig with delight after just a couple manual adjustments. ;-)

k, after you open the program reduce the main screen to about 1/4 of your screen size. Then open the mutation window, the editor window, the adjust window and the gradient window. Just keep manipulating the various windows until you get something you like.

The best thing I did was go to the main website and work through the tutorials. Those helped me get up to speed rather quickly.

Let me know if I can lend a hand or provide you with any of my other tools to ease you into the program. ;-)

  14. k, when you take the tutorials, pay special attention to running "Scripts." Scripts are like batch files that do some rather complex things with a single click.

Let's just keep this as our little secret ;-)

  15. Oh, k, play with the variation tab over and over again. You'll be amazed at what you can achieve just selecting different variations. Horseshoe is one of my favorites. ;-)

Let your imagination run wild and put those kids to bed. I'm on my way--lol.

  16. You're such a good teacher. I'm gonna have to start paying you!

Too bad you can't really be here--I can't figure out how to save and then post one I just made. It's not as impressive as yours are, but it's a start. :o)

  17. k, once you have an image you like you have to "render" it. Just click on the little gear like icon (third from the left).

Once rendered, go to the location you selected for the saved file. Click on it and it should open the image. From there just save it into whatever photo software you might have.

I use Picasa2, which is freeware and, imho, very good. Once the image is saved, then I use blogger to upload it to a post.

Let me know if there is anything else I can do for you tonight. ;-)

  18. LOL, are you sure you want to know if there's anything else? :o)

  19. Why does the James Taylor song Handyman keep playing in my head LMAO.

    Sing it James:

    Hey girls, gather round
Listen to what I’m putting down
Hey babe, I’m your handy man

I’m not the kind to use a pencil or rule
I’m handy with love and I’m no fool
I fix broken hearts, I know that I truly can

If your broken heart should need repair
Then I’m the man to see
I whisper sweet things, you tell all your friends
    They’ll come runnin’ to me

Here is the main thing I want to say
    I’m busy 24 hours a day
I fix broken hearts, I know that I truly can

    Come, come, come
    Yeah, yeah, yeah
    Come, come, come
    Yeah, yeah, yeah
    They’ll come runnin’ to me

    That’s me
    I’m your handy man

All you have to do is ask. ;-)

  20. Ooooh, James Taylor. He knows how to say it. :o)

  21. James is good, no doubt. Are you good k? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  22. Depends on what we're talking about. hehe

    ReplyDelete
  23. At operating your software sweetie, what did you think we were talking about? ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'm learning this Apophysis thing. Is that what you mean? :o)

    ReplyDelete
  25. Well, I wouldn't limit our discussion to just one piece of software. You might not get everything you need if we do that. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  26. You're much better at this than I am. Not that great with words, this one. :o)

    I can get picasa2 also?

    ReplyDelete
  27. k, no worries, words are overated--lol. I'm a hands guy myself. ;-)

Yes, Picasa is freeware too. Google it and you will find it pop up. I believe google owns picasa. I have several photo programs but Picasa is what I use to organize all my photos.

    ReplyDelete
  28. LOL, you said "pop-up"...

Getting the Picasa DL. Damn, I wish I knew someone as tech saavy as you are, you know, to help me with this stuff all the time, that way I don't have to bother you with tons of comments.

    ReplyDelete
  29. No bother at all k. Glad to be of help.

After you download and install Picasa, it will automatically search your harddrive for any photos. It's a very easy program to use.

I was wondering if you were gonna catch that "pop up" comment. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  30. How could I miss it? It was just out there for me to find. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yes, I did put it out there for you to find. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Schpanks, man. :o)

  33. "squealing like a pig"
