I need to go there! I had a horrible weekend and I need some peace right now. The only thing I've found that is more calming than water, is watching a fire. There's just something so mesmerizing about it. You forget everything else.
As you know, I've been vacationing in New England for the last two weeks! I'm in Newport, RI, now, and I walked on the beach last night.... I love the ocean, the water the sound and the tranquility of it all...! Great picture Tree!!
Peace? That's not peace...that's relief. 99 degrees in the shade today. I look at that and I just want to be submerged. That looks like "COOL" to me. :)
Okay, okay, this is what I see in the actual photo. Look closely and see the line at the horizon that indicates land. Were it not for that line, this could be an "effects" tour de force contructed in a graphics program. I have seen many like it.
But the line makes all the difference. It tells us that this is a photograph of reality, that somewhere this perfect place does exist. Now we can feel the gentle movement of the water and see the sparkling sunlight dancing in the swell, dig our toes into the pure, white sand that lies beneath the crystal water and taste the warm tropical air that caresses our faces. And over all arches the incredible deep blue of a flawless sky.
Clive, you're hired. I've been looking for someone to write my copy and just let me post the pics and I'll be damn if your last post doesn't shut the polls. Ding, ding, ding, we have a winnnnnnnner!
Seriously, Clive, awesome verbal description. I'm tempted to cut and paste on with the photo and give your blog a plug at the same time. For anyone reading this, Clive's blog (Gone Away--see it in my blog list on the sidebar) is an awesome read. I think his post speaks for itself.
