of wings

I've seen the face of God
calling me home

a fitting to be
of wings that sing

preparing the way
please let them say

to whisper of the path
that forks

and nudge the heart
to love's way

  4. Poppet, it never ceases to amaze me, strange as that fact in itself is given these last 3+ years, the loveliness of your writing, that last line is especially winsome. Breathlessly so.
No where I would rather be that here, commenting, so have my thoughts been in the time that I have been unable. I could do quick comments, but you know me in this, I like to spend an hour or two with each one, and so I wait, or rather I rush to get things sorted so that asap, things will get back to normal in this respect. And given various other facts, pretty soon, I shall extra time. :-)
In singulars, bright, graceful, flawless, smooth, melodic, absolute, beautiful.
Wishing you a wonderful evening, H

  6. The original canvas--a bloody mess:

I've seen the face of God
    calling me home

if you know of what I speak
    you'll understand

    [I've been recruited
    you see

    a fitting to be
    of wings
    I sing]

if your heart is of the stars
    you'll be kind

and leave Right at the door
    of Column, Corinthian {might}

    (I'm only) preparing the way
    please let them say

to ride upon your (the) shoulder
as the breeze upon the wind

    to whisper of the path
    that forks

    and nudge the gratitude
    of love's way
