AudioBlogger

Muse has suggested I post audio readings of the postings to go with the text and images. If you have an opinion, now is the time to share.

Here's another thought. Should I read the post, simply add commentary on the image and prose, or both? Neither is also an option--lol.

  1. Mongo like! Clear crisp voice with obvious humor lurking in the shade. Very good to hear you! A wonderful gift. Thanks, Tree!

  2. Thanks George. I'll take that as a yes. :-)

  3. As to your added thought -- go with the flow! Read the commentary and leap in any direction your flex-spontano mind desires!

    And YES, that's a yes.

  4. Good advice. Be like water. The Way of No Way. Can you tell I'm a big fan of Bruce Lee--lol.

Thanks for your feedback George. Much appreciated.

  5. Very cool! Now I have a voice to attach to the posts! :D

  6. Morning my little carrot loving woman. I take that as Yes vote number 2. :-)

  7. Mission for tomorrow: Have someone come work out why I no longer can get sound, even with new speakers - didn't bother me much 'til now.
Failing that, visit someone with working speakers.

    ReplyDelete
  8. Sunshine, do you remember when they stopped working and if anything in particular happened about that time?

I find it curious that the headphone jack stopped working along with the external speakers. Let me know what you learn.

    ReplyDelete
  9. With the initial set, the sound deteriorated all of a sudden and then conked out, bought a new set which worked fine for about a week, 3rd set lasted about 48 hours. Strange, right?

    ReplyDelete
  10. When you say "set" are you referring to external speakers? Also, do you have a laptop or a desktop computer?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Yes, set=speakers, and its a desktop. Don't worry about it, I'll go on mission nr. 2 tomorrow :-) and get someone in to have a look after the New Year.
    Thanks for your help, x

  12. A, sounds like you have a bad sound card or that the internal sound on your motherboard is faulty. If that's the case, you'll need to buy the cheapest sound card you can and everything should be back to normal. No need to but a nice card if audio is all you need it for--the cheapest one will do. Now if you want to listen to music, well that's another matter. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  13. Thanks, sweetie, I'll try that - crucial to get sound, if you will be audio-posting regularly! :-)
For what its worth, not having heard you as yet, I'd love to hear you read the full story.

    ReplyDelete
  14. *grins* thanks. :)

    ReplyDelete
  15. You're welcome Muse. Thanks for the suggestion. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  16. Definitely a yes vote! :D

    ReplyDelete
  17. Please keep posting text with your audio. I love to read rather than be read to. Also, the sound on my computer is turned off most of the time as I find the sounds it makes really annoying. Besides, what if you have Deaf readers?? How will they access the story if you don't post the text as with the audio??

    ReplyDelete
  18. Jenni, no worries my friend. The idea was to supplement the text, not replace it. Not sure how I like this audioblogger stuff. I'll give it some time. See how people respond. Could be just a waste of time for all I know. I did enjoy making the commentary recordings more than the reading.

Thanks for sharing Jenni. I always value your opinion as you seem not to pull any punches. Feedback is always welcomed here.

  19. Tree, I think audio is a great idea! Go for it... :)

  20. Y, it's done for the post below. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  21. it was very nice hearing your voice! i vote yes too! Thanks Tree

    ReplyDelete
  22. Thanks Kathy. I think the yeses are winning!

    ReplyDelete
  23. Tree, you're blowing my mind...!
    what a sexy accent!
    (i know, what accent?)
well, you know how us Canadians
always sound like the queen on sedatives?
well, y'all sound like a sweet southern baptist...
and i have no idea what i mean by that....
but its a nice addition to the canvas.
    voice= new added dimension.
can you fix her up so we can answer back too?
it'll be like a blog tea party or somethin'...

    so, Huse Muse?
    obviously mighty influential, huh?
    (wink)

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'll listen again for that accent. I must have missed it first time around--lol. Muse is a blogging hottie--quite literally. She has the most votes for December and don't think anyone is going to catch her.

Afraid audioblogger only works one way. But you could put the voice response on your blog. :-)

Good to see you posting here again Lisa. Glad you liked the new addition. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  25. i'm almost afraid to ask...the most votes for "what" for December? i fear if i struck a pose anywhere similar to Muse's on her blog, they might cart me away...plus, i dont wish to make anyone nauseous before breakfast or anything...they say 50 is the new 30, but, i dont know.....

    ReplyDelete
  26. LMAO. Some guy has a blog called "Bloggin Hotties." He finds blogger babes that he thinks are hot and features them on his site. For December, he's have a vote for Ms December. Muse is leading the way in the vote. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  27. Very good, it personalizes it. But, my speakers are 'tinny', and so it doesn't do you justice. Somehow, I want a deep, mysterious voice to go with your text. (Barry White is rated second)

    ReplyDelete
  28. hey maybe my kid can help me with this audio thang, as he is currently residing in the building for winter break (who's a happy mom?) and has already helped me decode my new cell phone today...but wouldnt it be cool to have a live chat place....we could call it "The Treehouse..." or "The TreeParty" or something sexy like that. oops, thats twice in 3 hours i've used that word...thanks for not jumping all over it...that's very relaxed of you...i have an ISight so i can do video chats with my kid...i've only used it 3 times since september...its pretty cool, tho i'm an old fashioned girl and shy away from most techno toys...
ps thanks for the warm welcome back from both you and Autumn...your generosity of spirit, compassion, and ability to step outside of yourselves for others has always warmed my heart...and i didnt go elsewhere, i just went no where, which i guess, is somewhere, but, you know what i mean....

    ReplyDelete
  29. Bonita, no one has very described my voice as deep. Soft, yes. Deep, no. lol

Thanks for stopping by. I'll work on the voice. :-)

Maybe all that time in the saddle is working against me. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  30. i dont know, B....i'm kind of diggin' Tree's voice...sounds calm, centred, intelligent, knowing...
    SEXY...(3 x)

    ReplyDelete
  31. Lisa, you've always been welcomed here and always will be. You bring a very playful and fun spirit to the comments and I think everyone enjoys your postings.

Audioblogger is about the easiest thing I've ever used. You call in your message and it automatically posts it to your blog. That's it. Took me two minutes to sign up (its free) and then just a phone call with my message.

As far as the "sex" comment, I thought it best not to jump all over you on that one since you just started posting again. No worries, your grace period is about over. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Lisa, did you notice I've got three audio files on the posting below? Just curious since no one has commented on those files.

    ReplyDelete
  33. jump on me.
(sorry, my bad...i'd best not freak anyone oot)
    yes, oot. (including myself...)
ps not sure everyone welcomes candidness or ultra dry humour (or humor as my neighbours (neighbors) to the south call it...)
yes, i noticed the 3 audiofiles down below, in fact, typical Cancerian, i always read the last stuff first and work my way up, or sideways or anyway but the way its written, so i heard those first...thing is, i dont really hear words, i hear essences...hmmm, maybe i should keep all this to myself, but, i listen for the essence of people in their voice, not content, plus i havent kept up with the stories only because i prefer to hear Tree as Tree...but ya, i listened to the other 3 voice bits too...still like your voice.

    ReplyDelete
  34. oooh it'll be like you are reading us a bedtime story. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  35. me gusta to voz, mi BBB. :o)

    ReplyDelete
  36. sweetbabyk, you are going to get me in all kinds of trouble with talk like that. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  37. yes but, am i wrong, i thought that was the whole point? :o)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Mmm, Lisa, we may have more in common than I thought. I listen the same way. Don't always hear the words, but I hear every nuance of tone. I can read body language and tone of voice like most people can read first grade readers. Have no idea where I developed this ability but I've always had it.

Now, I'm curious. You must tell me what you heard. I want the long version, not the cliff notes. You see, I'm deaf to my own voice. So you must tell me what you heard. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  39. sweetbabyk, you got me there. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  40. well yes of course. :o) still no propane. still cold. colder than last night, actually. fantastic. (sarcastic!) should have heat again tomorrow. damned propane trucks.

    ReplyDelete
  41. what an incredible add on to the stories and pics my dear :0)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Sorry to hear that sweetbabyk. Sounds like you need a little assistance. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Hey beach babe. How was the ocean? Ready to come home yet? :-D

I thought you might like the audio files. Tell me what you think after you give them a listen.

    ReplyDelete
  44. nope.
    i'm not telling you...!
    (nyuk nyuk!)
    Hi Tracey!!
    where are you???
Tree, i'll "study" you some more,
and get back to you on that...
besides, why ever would you want
    somebody else's interpretation
of their perception of you anyway?
    (please dont answer that....!)
see, now i'm causing trouble already...
i think i'll go watch this way cool dvd
Standing In The Shadows Of Motown
with my kid...its a great documentary
about these great musicians who backed
up all those famous Motown cats, but
no one really ever knew who they were...
    pretty smokin musicians...
never listened much to Motown stuff,
being a jazzer and all, but this story
    is very engaging...
later on your AudioAnalysis, Tree Hee!!

    ReplyDelete
  45. yeah i think you're right about that.

    ReplyDelete
  46. LOL, Lisa I'm a patient man with a long memory. I'll be waiting. :-)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  53. Hi Lisa :0)

    ReplyDelete
  54. nope, just mine :0) and yes we have seperate bedrooms :0)

    ReplyDelete
  55. And how many drinks did you have tonight? Sounds like your mom is a bad influence. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  56. LOL mom doesn't drink, and they were 2 for 1 at the daiquiri deck so I think I had 4 :0)

    ReplyDelete
  57. Listened to the audio and I think you did good! Nice idea... :-)

    ~Y

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks Y. I'll get better. Promise. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  59. My Audio is gone in this puter, so can't hear it. but I imagine it would be good along with the other things you are able to do.

    ReplyDelete
  60. DJB, I think the commentary adds to the story. Not sure me actually reading the story adds a lot, but I'm getting feedback that says otherwise. As long as its fun and there is interest I'll do it. Thanks for stopping by.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Any tent making today?

ROFLMAO this one snuck in, didn't see it early, you are so bad :0)

    sleep well darlin (hugs)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Sweet dreams, sweet heart :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. Ooh, a voice and a lovely accent! :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. Finally :-)
    More when I get home.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Ooh..what a nice voice you have and how neat it was to hear it. Sexy, sexy! *ahem* ~pardon the auto-female response;)

Anyways...I suffer from near-daily migraines which makes it hard to read & concentrate. Hearing you read would be much easier for me than reading it myself.

Also it would be so easy to just relax & enjoy getting lost in the fractal & the story without having to look away from the fractal. My vote is yes!

    ReplyDelete
  66. Morning
My vote is Y.E.S. complete with a shake of my cheerleading pompoms and a backflip into a split :)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Trée - you have gone to a whole new dimension with your fractals. They are really impressive.

Hmmm...voice? Well...it sure was a nice surprise to be able to hear you. I think I heard a bit of a southern twang. :)

    "Y'all" have a happy holiday too. ;)~
So much love to you hon.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Hi Treé, nice to hear you, thx ;)
My video greetings to The New Year is in my blog, please enjoy it ;)

YEAH (joining Autumn for that cheer LOL)

    have a great day (hugs)

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hiya Trée - I don't mind reading the text, but I also enjoyed your reading. I really liked the commentaries. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  72. Stargazer, Karen, and Jar. Thanks for the kind words. Just having fun. I like the fact that someone has to click on the audio to hear it. That way, those that don't care don't have to worry. It's there is someone wants to listen.

    ReplyDelete
  73. Aggie, so good to see you stop by. I think about you everyday and hope you can find the peace you deserve. Take care hon and know you can always escape for a few minutes into this world.

Southern? LOL. Let's see, 29 years in Louisiana and 13 in Tennessee. Now where did that accent come from--lmao. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  74. Oliviah, so very nice to see you stop by. Thanks for those very kind and endearing words. I have really enjoyed your latest work. It's been just fabulous sweetie. I love your touch and eye for creation. So warm, so beautiful and so full of emotion. Lots of passion I see in your work. Don't be a stranger. Hugs and kisses. :-)

  75. Trace, expect full report tonight. Must know if the beach is still there. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  76. LOL - I laak mah me-en suthen. ;)

Yes, this is a beautiful escape.
Did you know (and I bet you didn't) that when I look at the near future I think of you and know that you found the ability to laugh again on the other side of that darkness.
You keep me strong. You bring me peace.
    Thank you.

    ReplyDelete
  77. I do try my sweet girl. :-)

    ReplyDelete

    ReplyDelete
  80. OH! Did I say it out loud? LOL

    ReplyDelete
  81. I think it was more of a quiet whisper, but I heard it loud and clear. Thanks for the compliment. :-)
