Marriage

I'm painting today so I want an image with lots of color, perhaps even something outdoors. Since we often have hot air balloons pass over our house and they are very colorful, I thought I would do one for today.

I've got the image about right and I call my lovely bride in to get her opinion. I ask, "Hon, what does this look like to you?" Of course, I fully expect her to say hot air balloon. She looks for a sec, and without doubt says, "It's Ringo Starr!" I've just told you everything you need to know about my marriage--lol.

  1. Well, if this is a person, I say it looks like Samuel Jackson from Pulp Fiction. :-)

  2. ok I know I didn't leave any of those special brownies in the basket, so I don't know how the 2 of you are seeing people LOL

Love the colors, we have hot air balloon races here every fall and I love to go down and see the evening glow, when they fire them up right after sunset, it is very cool

ok, daylights a wastin, and I'm sure you still have plenty of painting to do

  4. Now, why change the title(?) :-)
Was a perfect example of potato/patato with smiles and love surrounding, just as it should be (not that I'm any authority lol), made me smile, with a hint of good-natured envy too.
    'Ringo' works too.
    Finish the painting?

  7. tree did you change your name to trace? or is that how its pronounced?

  8. Hi Kathy. I think what you see happening is "Trée" when translated by some programs comes out as "Trace." For whatever reason the "é" gets converted to an "ac." My name is actually pronounced like "Tray."

Good to see you visit again. Have a great weekend Kathy.

  14. Reminds when of where I grew up. There were often beautiful ballons such as this one floating over the valley. Over the years several landed near my house and it was exciting.

  20. Morning Chicky. The more I look at this one, the more I think this is the back of a hot air balloon. ;-)

I love the pics you've been posting. Makes me feel like I was there. Keep them coming.

  22. Beard, no lack of creativity in her body. Just wish it didn't cost me so much money. lol

She has a furniture fetish, especially chairs. I bet we have close to thirty chairs in our house. Last time I counted, between the two of us, we still only have two rear ends. So there you have it, hot air balloon or Ringo Starr. ;-)

  25. Keshi, sometimes they wake me up on Saturday mornings with the noise of the heaters firing up as the ballon passes over our house. First time I ever heard that sound while lying in bed it freaked me out. I had no idea what it was. Image my surprise when I walk outside in my robe and a hot air balloon is just over my house. :-)
