  2. Boy, the back door entry is really working well. Keep in mind your back stage pass expires on the 31st unless you renew before midnight tonight Sherri.

Johnny is one of my favs. Perhaps the most honest voice in music. Honest is not quite the word I was looking for, but I'm sure someone will be along soon to say what I really meant. :-)

"The taste of love is sweet

I fell for you like a child
oh, but the fire went wild.."

  13. Jamie, he was one-of-a-kind. I still prefer his version of "Hurt" over NIN's original.

  14. very very nice, a perfect meld of sight and sound (because of course I now have that song in my head)

Johnny Cash was a true American legend, an outlaw at its finest.

  15. Trace, my dad use to play this song almost every weekend when I was growing up. Hard for me to hear it and not think of him.

How was your dinner with old friends?

    ReplyDelete
  16. very nice :0)

have you decompressed from your day yet?

Our dads must have been around the same age, my dad loved classic country; Johnny Cash, Patsy Cline, Charlie Rich, George Jones. His favorite Johnny Cash song was Boy Named Sue :0)

  17. Trace, I'm working on it. In sort of a philsophical mood tonight. Maybe I should put some Cash on the surround sound. Sunday Morning Coming Down sounds good about now.

  18. I'm not in a speeeling moood. :P:

  19. On a Sunday morning sidewalk,
I'm wishing, Lord, that I was stoned.
'Cause there's something in a Sunday
That makes a body feel alone.
And there's nothing short a' dying
That's half as lonesome as the sound
    Of the sleeping city sidewalk
    And Sunday morning coming down.

nice choice, must be something in the air, its been an introspective kinda day :0)

  20. Okay, putting my stetson on. Better lock the door, cause we ain't answering it. ;-)

  26. You know the drill. Plaid skirt, white blouse, no panties, in the study in 5.

    ReplyDelete
  27. I'll be there in 2 LOL, now where did I put that skirt :0)

    ReplyDelete
  28. Saddle back shoes, don't forget them like you did last night.

    ReplyDelete
  29. putting them on now, white thigh highs, white blouse (and darn some of the buttons seems to be missing) but where did I put that skirt LOL

    ReplyDelete
  30. Plaid knee high socks would be a plus, but I can live with the whites. Oh, and you're late. And you can wipe that grin off your cute little innocent who me face. I've seen that look and well, hell it just might work tonight. ;-)

    ReplyDelete
  31. (strips off hose and shoes, grabs socks and runs to office)

    oh...theres my skirt LOL

    ReplyDelete
  32. you can wipe that grin off your cute little innocent who me face. I've seen that look and well, hell it just might work tonight. ;-)

    who me? ;0)

    ReplyDelete
  33. Well dear, tell me, what would you suggest I do to justify the injustice of earlier today?

    ReplyDelete
  34. the injustice of earlier today?

??????? am I being bad again with out even knowing it :0)

    ReplyDelete
  35. The notepads dear. The notepads.

Tapping fingers on side of my chair. Is there something you need to tell me?

    ReplyDelete
  36. oh right, that of course :0)

hmmmm something you should know, no I can't think of anything (that of course is followed by that oh so innocent, can't keep the smile off my face look)

I have been a perfect angel allll day with the exception of those notepads :0)

    ReplyDelete
  37. Well, I have under a certain authority that you were seen cavorting with various flirtious elements of mother nature. Do you deny this accusation???

Oh, and I have photographic proof, so be careful. I'm not trying to set you up in a perjury trap.

    ReplyDelete
  38. no denial here, I was definitely nature girl today LOL

what can I say I just woke up inspired to play outside :0)

    ReplyDelete
  39. And that my dear is your crime! I was inside all day and you took off to play outside. Guilty. Case closed. We move straight to sentencing.

Do you have a closing statement? Maybe throw yourself on the mercy of me? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. oh I would definitely like to throw myself at (or on for that matter) the "mercy" of the court I am guilty of playing wood nymph today, do with me what you will :0)

    ReplyDelete
  41. To the judges quarters now. I think we need a private session in this case.

    ReplyDelete
  42. hmmmmm, yes I do have a few persuasive arguments to present :0)

    ReplyDelete
  43. Well dear, there is no time like the present. I'm all eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  44. well if you will direct your attention to the ever heaving exhibits C :0), I believe you will see what I am talking about :0)

    ReplyDelete
  45. Yes, a very convincing argument indeed. "Exhibts C" is noted. However, the court is going to need just a little more evidence.

    ReplyDelete
  46. in that case I will just have to present all of my exhibits for the courts pleasure :0)

    ReplyDelete
  47. Are any special aids needed for this display? The court can supply any supplimental props necessary for a proper showing.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I am fascinating by your fractal, and it really shows what love can do, burn from inside out and the opposite. Johny Cash expressed it very well!

    ReplyDelete
  49. Thanks Kate and welcome to Decadent Tranquility with your first comment. As an artist yourself, I appreciate those comments very much. I like your Firebirds very much too. Great energy and dynamic colors.

Come back and visit again. If you can't tell, I love to interact :-)

Oh, and we need to see a current painting of Melly since she seems rather shy about such things. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  50. Wow, I could get lost in that. The lyrics fit it perfectly.

    Have a great weekend. *hugs*

    ReplyDelete
  51. Thanks Karen. I hope you are feeling much better. Have a great weekend too! :-)

    ReplyDelete
  52. Thanks - each day is a little better :-)
