Sometimes I feel that only a single sentence is worth the price of admission. And sometimes I feel the only thing worthwhile in one of my chapters is a single sentence. Still, at the end of the day, if there is a single sentence that stands the test of time, well, that would be nice--as nice as you always are in your lavish praise. :-)

Great writers are remembered more often than not for single sentences, a group of words so unique and special, touching or thought-provoking or just plain interesting. You have so very many of those. So many read through the pages here where I have wished quite simply everyone could have the chance to know them too.
Timeless too, re-reading is never secondary.

You know, I not sure I can think of a single 'bad' Ariel chapter. Her light shines through whenever she enters the story. I light unto the vessel of hope and tranquility. :-)

The fact that Kyra is returning, a joyous and awaited piece of news, is eclipsed by this tender scene between father and daughter. John held her head in his hands and their eyes studied each other not as eyes looking to see but as souls needing to know. Beautiful, quite simply. With the words spoken on the pod, the closeness of them here, the assurance that if he loves Kyra it is okay, thoughts of that defining moment come drifting back and how generous children can be. Such a wonderful spirit is young Ariel and a much cherished character within the story, having single-handedly provoked so many smiles, once again here, the tone of her young voice seems as clear as had one heard it. A team is how they seem, together, not as they were before, but they appear to know which way to go from hereforth, and there is sense that things are going to be alright. Smiling, enjoying, falling for Ariel anew, this was a thoroughly lovely chapter, wonderful imagery.
