  2. Viki, I know those tears of joy. Those are the good ones. :-)

  3. Love it, thanks for showing that! :-D

  4. Just for those first seconds at the front, I almost got worried that nobody would take him up on the offer - how sad would that have been, which just made the rest of it all the more delightful to watch. a sweet little cry, :-), that's a perfect description for the experience.

Sweet dreams when you get that far, poppet, x

  5. Glad you enjoyed it Sunshine. I love the petition numbers growing and growing--a whole complete three act story in four minutes with an excellent musical score. How bout that! :-D

  6. What I needed to see - and in fact DID see, was everyone coming for a hug. Men and women. Boys and girls. It is a universal need, that each one of us holds within. A genuine hug, no strings attached, no alterior motives... it is a thing of deep satisfaction.

  7. I couldn't have said it better Terry. How's be you tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Too bad the Powers that be "Have Their Eyes Closed"...

    ReplyDelete
  9. Keith, I would argue its not just the "Powers that Be," with their eyes closed. I've known too many solitary individuals with their eyes wide shut. But I've been blessed also, to have known and to know many who are certified life huggers, many of which frequent this site. :-)

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. Always welcomed.

  13. Have you shown it to M?

By the way, Sweet Pea has a special image up for you over on Trebuchet. Hope you enjoyed the soup. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  14. Not yet, but I'll be sure to. She's a real hugger and will appreciate it, I'm sure.

    The image is beautiful!
& thanks for the soup, sweetie, was a real treat.

Have a great rest of the day.
I'm about ready to call it a night. Night. :-D, x

  15. Oh man - that made it a misty start to Monday!

Thanks Trée - that's just beautiful...

  16. Aw shucks!!!
I watched it muted but it was still incredibly heart-warming. Initially I was worried when nobody took up his offer. Next, I wonder if any guy was going to hug him--I did a little applaud for the 1st guy.
Tree, thanks for the warm and fuzzy start to a Monday morning.
    Shalom!!

  17. Evenstar, so glad you enjoyed the video as much as I did. Brought tears to my eyes from beginning to end.

  18. Saffy, you are more than welcome. I hope you get a chance to view it again with the soundtrack. Music has a way of pulling those few extra heart strings. Have a great Monday. :-)

  19. How about some free hugs down here mister!

    ReplyDelete
  20. Lindsey, I always have free hugs for you--and Blue Bell ice cream too. :-)

  22. Helen, I just can't watch it enough nor can I thank you enough for showing it to me. It begs the eternal question within all of our hearts--why not, why can it not be this way.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Saff, :-), that's the part where I just fall apart, where that very first taker puts his hand on our hugger's face, beautiful. Hope you get to hear it with the music, nice words to accompany.

Evening poppy boy (that name just makes me laugh:), so glad to hear you boys had such a great time!!
Sweetest dreams when you get that far, x

  24. Sunshine, there is a character in the movie that reminded me of you. Looks like you, acts like you. I won't spoil it for you, but you have to see this movie cause I think you're in it. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  25. I will. Will be quite interesting to see, if I can spot who you might mean. :-)

So sweet, it beats my myriad.

    ReplyDelete
  26. I have a pocket full of dimes, so get ready. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  27. Just showed M the video.
"oh, mum, you're so silly. Why you crying?"
"That's a lot of signatures they must really want those hugs."
"Was sweet of that first lady to give him a hug."

And her theory as to why those who didn't didn't. "They must have thought he was a pick-pocket." :-D

    ReplyDelete
  28. Sunshine, those are classic responses. Makes me smile. :-)

Hope you are having a great Monday.

    Poppy

    ReplyDelete
  29. Aww....that made me want to hug you.

And hug the world. Thanks for posting that, how sweet to watch all those free hugs. Have you seen the Dave Matthews video that has a guy waking up & then spending his whole day offering hugs, till it's time to go to bed again? That one made me tear up too. I wish I could think of the name of the song/video. Thought of it! It is "Everyday" and here are some of the lyrics:

    All you need is
    All you want is
    All you need is love.
    All you need is
    What you want is
    All you need is love.

    Everyday
    Everyday
    Oh, Everyday...

Pick me up, love, from the bottom
Up onto the top, love, everyday
Pay no mind to taunts or advances
I'm gonna take my chances on everyday

    Left to right
Up and up and inside out right
    Good love fight for everyday
    Jump in the mud, mud
    Get your hands filthy, love
    Give it up, love
    Everyday

    All you need is
    All you want is
    All you need is love.
    All you need is
    What you want is
    All you need is love.
    Oh..."

I think we all need to jump in the mud every now and then.

    ~hugs and smooches~

  31. YAY! I managed to get here and to get the video to work too :D
Great video. Makes me wanna go out there with a sign of my own...hehe

Hugs are the best medicine there is :)

    ReplyDelete
  32. Christa, so glad to see you again. I felt the same way about that video. Just makes you want to hug the world. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  33. That is so cool. I think people would be surprised about how much just one hug can mean to a person - even from a stranger.

    ReplyDelete
  34. I couldn't agree more Jack. I believe a simple hug can do more the heal the body and soul than most medicines.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Kuan, glad you enjoyed it as much as I did. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  36. :-D That's what I wanted, to make my own sign and and get out there - gonna have to do it too, one of these days :-)

Sweet pea, hope you've had a lovely evening, one that matches my perfect early morning. Sweet dreams when you get that far, love and hugs, x

    ReplyDelete
  37. Yay! This video made my day :) You bet I'll be watching it more than a few times in the next couple of days. Almost as good as getting one. *hugs* *hugs* *hugs*

    ReplyDelete
  38. Ok. I just watched it a third time (already) and here I am crying like a baby again. That's 3 times this week. At least I'm laughing at myself.

    ReplyDelete
  39. A good hearty breakfast, poppet, is what you need this morning. I was thinking a large yorkshire pudding with roasted tomatoes and eggs, however you like them best, with a long tall OJ on the side would see you through. That and some good strong Italien roast. Naturally.
    Safe travels, pleasant trip. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  40. Bean, you did say you were in need of a hug didn't you? Just trying to do my job. :-D

Hope these comments mean the great internet blackout is over. You've been missed. Hugs back at ya. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  41. What a lovely breakfast Sunshine and much appreciated. Poppet likes his eggs Sunnyside up and Sweet Pea overeasy. I'll take them either way. :-)

Thanks for the well wishes. I'll be back before you know it. At least that's the plan. Oh, did you enjoy your bath this morning? :-)

    ReplyDelete
  42. Unrivalled by any heretofore, left me glowing, still am. :-)

    Will miss ya, x

    ReplyDelete
  43. Ahhh, you always know just what to say. Keep safe and I'll see you in a few. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  44. Thank you for sharing that. Beautiful.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Sweet dreams when you get that far, x

    ReplyDelete
  46. Thanks Sweetest. :-) Time for a coffee this morning?

    ReplyDelete
  47. :-) Absolutely. Stay there, I'll make it.

    ReplyDelete
  48. That is how life should be. Awesome!! I liked how the film became color as soon as the first hug happened. Thanks for sharing that, I have a big smile on my face. *HUGGLES* to you, and they're free too ;-)

  56. Hey Trée-

I've seen this and have sent it to friends. What a healing little flick!

I've been redisigning my blog and heading in a different, hopefully more focused direction.

I know I've been pretty scarce, but if you'd like to stop by sometime, please do. I'd enjoy any feedback on style, function and/or content.

    best,
    David

  58. Sweet dreams, a good day tomorrow and a safe journey home when you start heading that way, x

    ReplyDelete
  59. Looking at this video it reminds me of Pitt St Mall in Sydney..very close to where I work. I hang ard in Pitt St Mall all the time :) Was it taken there?

    Keshi.

    ReplyDelete
  60. You're so right. This is one incredible video. When I see something like that I think, Now that's what it's all about. Sometimes we need the reminder.

    Thank you Trée for sharing.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Deb, glad to hear you enjoyed it as much as I did. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  62. Keshi, I believe it was shot at Pitt St Mall. Hugs back to you. :-)

  64. David, I've seen your new layout and I think it looks fabulous. Always good to see you stopping by.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Kel, hugs to you too my friend. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  66. Did I ever tell you, I used to spend my days making Crêpes? That’s the menu for this morning. Two kinds to choose from, the first has a Fruits of the Forest filling, the other is lightly drizzled with Butterscotch Sauce. Coffee, Italian roast, off-white cup with a slight lip as standard.
    I made it anyway (phew!).
    Good morning, Tennessee.
    :-)

    ReplyDelete
  67. Afternoon Sunshine. What a wonderful breakfast to wake. And enough for the whole gang too. So very thoughtful. Is there dessert too?

    ReplyDelete
  68. I've only got one thing, banoffee pie, if that'll do ya, you're very welcome to a slice. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  69. Banoffee pie? What the heck is that? :-D

    ReplyDelete
  70. You really did wait for me!

What a very touching, sweet, chill inducing video! I am sitting here at work CRYING from watching complete strangers hug each other. In a scary, dangerous world, where people constantly avoid contact with others, it is so lovely to see that even with all of the hate in the world, people are still generally good and caring.

    ReplyDelete
  71. Hey BBB, I told you I would wait. My word is gold and my tongue is silver. Now, what color the rest of me is, I'm not telling but if you meet me in the kitchen around midnight, you just might turn a pale shade of scarlet when you find out. :-D

Have a great weekend sweetbabyk. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  72. You're joking, right? Hope so. And then again, no. If you've never had it, you are in for a real treat, I make a banoffee pie that's pure heaven. :-)

Have a lovely rest of the day, Poppet, x

    ReplyDelete
  73. Sunshine, I kid you not, never even seen the name "banoffee" before. I've been meaning to google it. So slap me with a feather and blow my socks off. I'm all for the surprise. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  74. I think, I wore out your video - it doesn't want to play anymore.

    :-)
First musicals and now banoffee pie - you've been missing out, sweet pea. It's never too late though to make up for what was lost. After the proposed gamboling, there would be few better ways to end such a perfect autumn day than a little 'blessing of hides' and a slice of pie. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  75. Ooooh, I'm all for the blessing of the hides. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  76. Video is still working here. Try it again.

    ReplyDelete
  77. :-)

It's a problem this end, I know. Have also been having difficulties loading another video.

    ReplyDelete
  78. I think Caitlin might need her hide blessed so don't be surprised if you see me steal this phrase. And Johnny Disco is just the one to do the blessing. :-D

    ReplyDelete
  79. Trée -

Wow! What a great video. I always leave your site with an ear to ear smile - thanks!

    Hugs to you!
    Ann

    ReplyDelete
  80. Hugs to you too Ann! Glad you liked the video as much as I did. Hope you have a weekend filled with wonder. :-)
