Very nice! I especially like the rainbow effect in the background...the beauty of the gnarled branches truly represents Wabi Sabi. Maybe I can use this for my tags.
Christa, yes, this is Vue. I put the camera on the ground looking straight up and increased the focal length to add interest to the perspective. Then I played with the sky to do something a little different and adjusted the position of the sun to give me light where I wanted it. Once rendered, I took it to photoshop to do very slight adjustments to hue and contrast and add the black border and name plate. Then back to Picasa to do a very slight temp adjust and sharpen slightly. So there you go.
Trée, your latest creations are absolutely stunning. You have such an eye for color, and you are so creative. The images keep getting more and more interesting.
I was just reading your comment on how you created this one. Wow, you're REALLY good with Vue, and are superb at tweaking with other programs. I know how tedious and difficult the programs can be, but you embraced them with the flair of a pro.

Aww. I do like this one very much. There was a tree across from our little stream that sat out in front of all the rest of the trees It had only two branches and they stretched out in opposite directions from the top of the tree. I liked to imagine it was the conductor of a great classical concert. It gave me great peace.
I love the idea of nature personified. This is a lovely rendering hon.

Karen, that's what I saw when I did this one. Two old souls, reaching for each other when the world had turned its back on them as relics and useless. What else do we really have other than each other?
