Liz (ME Strauss) suggested I could use some of her poetry to inspire a fractal or two; a joint effort if you will. I can't claim to have lived up to my end of the bargain, but the poem alone is magnificent. Liz, thanks for giving me this opportunity to work with you. Peace.
The Song
From the silence came the indigo melody
deep vibrations of abounding love
running like the water of life
standing in stillness
like the ocean of a soul.
Lilting almost imperceptibly
the blue and turquoise harmony
echoes of a kiss blown on the wind
flickering like hope unfounded
like the dreams dancing on a heart.
A hint, a promise of gold in a chord
and kiss of yellow barely heard.
From the dreams came emerald answering indigo
love and romance in pas de deux
soaring like feelings on wings
blending, being their melodies
like notes that hang and hide in the air.
After a time indigo was winding under emerald
a stronger driving beat, demanding
turquoise snapping up and down with the blue.
emerald jamming in a new direction,
making all the colors move .
All following a new colorful thing calling,
calling, answering, giving, taking
solo, duo, jamming, meshing,
moving, dancing, always true to the color
and to the beat of the drummer.
Notes hung in the air again.
Feelings roared instead of soared
Love and romance became games of chance
Indigo answered emerald back
The pas de deux became the dying swan
and then dream and the drummer were gone.
The ocean of the soul stood frozen still
like winter in the river of life.
Deep sounds of abounding love lost
shot through the melody, absent of all harmony,
indigo tears that washed the song into silence.
There were no oranges and reds.
This song was rhythm and blues.

Oh my Tree,
ReplyDeleteYou made the words so delicate and lovely by putting them with that image. You have elevated my poetry.
Now we should put the same thing on my site. (A turnaround in black and white. grin)
thank you.
ME-Liz
Liz, you are so very welcome and I am so pleased you like the image. You've made my day. :-)
ReplyDeleteI see a book in the works.
ReplyDeleteBoth the poem and the fractal are very moving...truly sublime together.
Aggie, those are mighty fine words. Is it time for you to pull those boots out of the closet. I think I have my cowboy hat somewhere around here. :-) Perhaps, we could pretend the book has been published and I could read you a bedtime story. ;-)
ReplyDeleteoh please god let him have a cowboy hat, cuz if you do....just stick a fork in me and call me done :0)
ReplyDeletePulling my new Stetson(s) from the plastic wrap. Do you prefer black or white--got both. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh, and I'll be bringing my fork too. LOL
Ah do declare, a black hat would just about do me in :0) especially paired with a nice pair of butt hugging levis and....well yeah I think that would do it :0)
ReplyDeleteConsider it done. Wow, that was easy. :-)
ReplyDeleteyou know how you are with the whole nurses uniform thing, yeah well its a cowboy thing with me LOL
ReplyDeleteOoooooooo, that puts it into a whole new light. :-)
ReplyDelete:0)
ReplyDeleteyou know the saying....save a horse-----:0)
ReplyDeleteFault #1 is starting to kick in. LMAO, and it's only 6:35pm.
ReplyDeleteMmm, yes, dear, I do. :-)
gotta love fault #1 (and personally I don't consider it a fault)
ReplyDelete(sings)Home, Home on the range, where the nurses and cowboys play
LOL
Fault #1 does come in handy at times, esp behind closed doors.
ReplyDeletenot to burst the fantasy bubble here, but I have to finish dinner,
ReplyDeletelater?
And when we get behind closed doors
ReplyDeleteThen she lets her hair hang down
And she makes me glad that I'm a man
Oh, no-one knows what goes on behind closed doors
sings quietly as she leaves the room
I'll be here sweetie. Go enjoy your dinner, and I'll get dessert ready.
ReplyDeleteHey sweetheart, whats for dessert?
ReplyDeleteEclairs.
ReplyDeleteooooh sounds delicious
ReplyDeleteVery creamy. I get no complaints on my eclair. :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm sure you don't :0)
ReplyDeletecan't wait to indulge :0)
Are you in the mood for a good creamy eclair tonight, one with chocolate icing?
ReplyDeleteyou have no idea ;0)
ReplyDeleteEverything is better with chocolate isn't it LOL.
ReplyDeleteoh most definately, a drizzle of chocolate here and there is definately a treat :0)
ReplyDeleteWhipped cream wouldn't hurt either :-)
ReplyDeletemmmmmm oh yeah
ReplyDeletesome strawberries and champagne to go with the eclairs
some warm chocolate sauce and cool whipped cream
you know your fault #1, I think I just developed it LOL
Oh my, that could be trouble. Now what are we going to do to address such a fault? Or, should we be undressing that fault. :-)
ReplyDeleteoh definitely undressing LOL
ReplyDeleteWe might need to soak this problem in the hottub. You know the great thing about the hottub?
ReplyDeleteI can still wear the stetson! LOL
ReplyDeletenow that is a visual made just for fault #1
ReplyDeleteand its not a bad thing :0)
Whatever turns your headlights on. Oh my, did I just say that. Sorry, Fault #1 is getting the best of me. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOL
ReplyDeleteand does fault #1 have a soaking wet, now see through, white nurses dress in it?
Well, I thought we had, mmm, undressed that problem. However, I kinda like your visual better than mine.
ReplyDeleteYes, now it does! Seems to be quite shear too. Not as smooth across the front either. Mmm . . . what to do, what to do.
Any ideas?
now that this dress is wet, I may need some help becoming untangled from it, and it is getting rather chilly out here by the hot tub, maybe we should head in and work on warming up :0)
ReplyDeleteI'll grab your robe and turn the sheets down. Champagne is on ice. Candles lit. Don't be long. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe poem is lovely!
ReplyDelete"From the dreams came emerald answering indigo" - like this sentence so much!
And "like the ocean of a soul" (the "a" being the most important part).
Agree with Agnes - I'd buy the book for sure, image and words.
Completely jealous of both your talents!
the flannels right?
ReplyDeleteright behind you :0)
Tracey, you have the same secret fantasy as both myself and k, LOL, gotta love cowboys :-)
ReplyDeletemorning Autumn :0) you are up early
ReplyDeleteOh, and Agnes is into the whole cowboy thing too.
ReplyDeletelol!
I'm telling ya, there is not much hotter :0)
ReplyDeleteYes, set the alarm for a frightening 4.45! It's pitch black outside, feels like the middle of the night and it'll be dark for another 3 hours yet :-)
ReplyDeleteTracey, yep I just put the flannels on the bed. I'll grab some lotion and we'll start with working on the tension in your feet.
ReplyDeleteGood thing I have more than one stetson--lol.
ReplyDeleteA, as always thanks for those kind thoughts. Perhaps a bedtime story from my yet to be published book is in order.
ReplyDeleteOh good lord Trée, you start rubbing my feet, and I so will not be responsible for my actions :0)
ReplyDeleteJust relax and throw your leg up on my lap. I've got the lotion nice and warm.
ReplyDeletetrust me relaxing is not going to be an issue, you have faults, I have weird things (yes I am going somewhere with this LOL)
ReplyDeleteWeird thing #?: my feet are about the 3rd most, how can I put this,"sensitive" area on my body
Well then, we'll start with #3 and work our way to #2 and then #1. Are you comfy? :-)
ReplyDeleteYou look comfy in that white terry cloth robe.
comfy, ready, willing and able :0)
ReplyDelete(oh and by the time we get to number one, I may no longer be capable of coherent thought LOL )
No worries, thoughts are not required at this point. LMAO
ReplyDeleteOh good, in that case........:0)
ReplyDeleteDon't forget about us, when you are rich and famous. In fact, I want a signed copy from the first batch :-)
ReplyDeleteTwist your leg a little to the outside and move it slightly outward so we can stretch your arch just a little. Little wider please, just a bit more . . .
ReplyDeleteA, I'll have a special "Signed First-edition" party at my place. We may even have an early bird private signing for a select few. By appointment only. :-)
ReplyDeletemmmmmmm hows that?
ReplyDeleteVery nice Tracey. I must say very nice. I do notice a slightly elevated pulse. Are you feeling ok?
ReplyDeletemmm rapid breathing will probably follow shortly, but don't worry, its just a little warm in here :0)
ReplyDeletetrust me I'm a nurse ;0)
"trust me I'm a nurse ;0)"
ReplyDeleteLOL!
Have a great evening, both of you! :-) & thanks once again, Trée, you made my day before it even was daylight :-)
Speak to later, x
Hi Autumn, hope you have a great day
ReplyDeleteG'night Trée pleasant dreams :0)
Happy Wednesday!
ReplyDelete:-)
Morning Sunshine. How has your day been?
ReplyDeleteStarted off great and stayed that way! :-)
ReplyDeleteThe poem and fractal are perfect partners. Match made to be. Liz's kind of joy come through in your work elsewhere too.
ReplyDeleteGarnet, I appreciate your kind words very much my friend. I was so very happy to have a chance to work with Liz and feel blessed she suggested the idea. Her poem is just magnificent.
