Apophysis: Intruder

If we divide into two camps--even into violent and the nonviolent--and stand in one camp while attacking the other, the world will never have peace. We will always blame and condemn those we feel are responsible for wars and social injustice, without recognizing the degree of violence within ourselves. We must work on ourselves and also with those we condemn if we want to have a real impact.

  1. Is Halloween here yet? Seems my work of late has a dark element of sorts. ;-) Hang with me. Just two more weeks LOL.

  7. Jack, you always help me see things I would have never seen without your vision. Catfish--lol. Wait till you see a fractal I have in the batter's box that I'm thinking of calling "Gone Fishing."

I kinda like those two colors too. You've been doing some fine fractal work yourself. Keep up the good work.

  10. Yes I do Melly--you are really helping bump up my visitor count from Israel. :-)

I too wish it was that easy. I have to remind myself everyday to take life literally one step at a time. Still, I stumble. Then, when the pain subsides, I take another step. I'm still taking steps so I guess I'm ok. lol

  12. Mergrl, I grew up in Louisiana and Halloween was always a big deal. I think partly because it's always so damn hot there, Halloween was usually the first sign of a slight cooling off in temps.

  17. Mergrl, I remember more xmas' in Louisiana where we were wearing shorts and a t-shirt than otherwise. I love the seasons we have in Tenneesee. They are practically evenly divided in nice 3 month segments. It's amazing to see them change like clockwork.

  18. neonalune, these pics are fractals created with the freeware program Apophysis. It's my lame attempt at art--lol. Thanks for those very nice and kind words--glad you like them too.

I see you found the Christopher blog too. What a great kid. I've got him for 5 days straight starting tomorrow morning, a rare treat this time of the year.

Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again. :-)

  22. k, tonight I'm destressing from an interesting day at work. Trying to practice what I preach about living in the present moment. Right now I'm flunking the exam. LAMO

  27. I read this quote just the other day. It has a "Lord of the Flies" feel to it. Metaphors for real life, huh? I guess, in reality, we are all on this island alone, trying to fit into one camp or the other. My greatest hope is that we will all be one camp one day. One big peaceful camp.
