If we divide into two camps--even into violent and the nonviolent--and stand in one camp while attacking the other, the world will never have peace. We will always blame and condemn those we feel are responsible for wars and social injustice, without recognizing the degree of violence within ourselves. We must work on ourselves and also with those we condemn if we want to have a real impact.

Is Halloween here yet? Seems my work of late has a dark element of sorts. ;-) Hang with me. Just two more weeks LOL.
ReplyDeleteWe're all in the dark, Trée...lol
ReplyDeleteNow where the heck did I put that flashlight again....hmmm....
Oh...and there's a great fractal on your blog too btw...just thought I'd mention that ;)
We're all in the dark
ReplyDeleteWell said Christa. Nothing I can add to that. ;-)
...and nothing can add beauty to light...absolutely nothing :)(nevermind me...I'm being philosophic tonight)
ReplyDeleteThat green guy has the face of a catfish. Real Nice. Those two colors go great together.
ReplyDeleteI loved the quote. I wish it were that easy. You know where I am and why I would wish it...
ReplyDeleteAnd nice fractal.
Jack, you always help me see things I would have never seen without your vision. Catfish--lol. Wait till you see a fractal I have in the batter's box that I'm thinking of calling "Gone Fishing."
ReplyDeleteI kinda like those two colors too. You've been doing some fine fractal work yourself. Keep up the good work.
I Like this. Dunno why but it kinda reminds me of an unfinished spiders web lol
ReplyDeleteI like it, but then again I love Halloween :0)
ReplyDeleteYes I do Melly--you are really helping bump up my visitor count from Israel. :-)
ReplyDeleteI too wish it was that easy. I have to remind myself everyday to take life literally one step at a time. Still, I stumble. Then, when the pain subsides, I take another step. I'm still taking steps so I guess I'm ok. lol
Dawn, I see that now. I love it!
ReplyDeleteMergrl, I grew up in Louisiana and Halloween was always a big deal. I think partly because it's always so damn hot there, Halloween was usually the first sign of a slight cooling off in temps.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty--and sometimes, dark is good. :o)
ReplyDeleteIts pretty much the same in the midwest, but I can remember Halloweens that were like 80 degrees (and some when it was 40 LOL- gotta love the midwest)
ReplyDeletek, how would we see the stars without the pitch dark of night. Thanks for the kind words k. :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat are these pics of??? They are amazing. They take my breath away.
ReplyDeleteOh and that pic of (I'm guessing) your son when he falls and looks hurt makes me sad :-(
Mergrl, I remember more xmas' in Louisiana where we were wearing shorts and a t-shirt than otherwise. I love the seasons we have in Tenneesee. They are practically evenly divided in nice 3 month segments. It's amazing to see them change like clockwork.
ReplyDeleteneonalune, these pics are fractals created with the freeware program Apophysis. It's my lame attempt at art--lol. Thanks for those very nice and kind words--glad you like them too.
ReplyDeleteI see you found the Christopher blog too. What a great kid. I've got him for 5 days straight starting tomorrow morning, a rare treat this time of the year.
Thanks for stopping by and hope to see you again. :-)
Hey, I'm good at being nice, but I still try my best. :o)
ReplyDeleteHow are you tonight, Trée, oh creator of the pretty pictures? (lol)
I'm enjoying seeing these, they're bringing a little light in.
ReplyDeleteHere's an experiment for your fav banana: Fingers crossed that it works LOL
Never mind... didn't work. :-( It wouldn't accept the HTML code either.
ReplyDeletek, tonight I'm destressing from an interesting day at work. Trying to practice what I preach about living in the present moment. Right now I'm flunking the exam. LAMO
ReplyDeleteNew art work 10 minutes away. :-)
Karen, I might need to put that banana into actual practice tonight LOL. See post above. ;-)
ReplyDelete"LAMO"
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is that?
LMAO
I always flunk that one! Are you as terrible at being spontaneous as I am?
ReplyDeleteI love this time of year, I bet Tennessee is perty this time of year :0)
ReplyDeleteLAMO is that like my fave typo ROFTL (rolling on floor....the laughing :0)
I read this quote just the other day. It has a "Lord of the Flies" feel to it. Metaphors for real life, huh? I guess, in reality, we are all on this island alone, trying to fit into one camp or the other. My greatest hope is that we will all be one camp one day. One big peaceful camp.
